I was thinking the exact same thing and looking through this thread I had a feeling a couple weeks ago this was going to happen. Last nights game kind of reminded me of the end of the '91 Superbowl against the Giants. Sucks, I also needed Jamal Lewis to get about 10 more yards to win my fantasy matchup too.
This is about the time I stop caring about the NFL almost all together until next year.
If Buffalo doesn't win next week they are practically out of playoff contention.
Well, after a pretty good first half of the season I think it is saft to say that the Bills will not be making the playoffs this year. I'm done caring about the NFL until playoffs and even then it is with limited interest. Looking forward to next year for the 9th year in a row.

Losman sucks, seriously. Edwards is decent, and has potential. The play call towards the end of the game where Losman was sacked and Ellis ran it back for the TD, that was a dumb call. Buffalo was running the ball awesome yesterday. The Jets couldn't bring either of them down. Why they called a rollout passplay instead of handing it off to Marshawn is beyond me. Probably cost them the game.

It was like 3rd and 3 or something like that with the Bills up by 3 and the ball. 4th quarter, Lynch had well over 100 yards at this point, and instead of handing off to him, Losman rolls out, gets sacked, fumbles ball, and after it rolls around for a bit, the Jet's Ellis picks it up and scores a TD. Heartbreaking if your a Bills fan. A shitty call. Something maybe KOK would've called.
Well, it looks like the Bills are poised to have a good run at making the playoffs for the first time since the 1999 season. Hopefully the risky move of picking up TO will pay big dividends. I'm a little skeptical since he hasn't really had the impact he was supposed to on any new team since the Eagles had their Super Bowl run a few years ago.
I'm feel pretty confident that Buffalo will finally make it back to post season play after a 10 year hiatus, which is really growing tiresome and every year causes my interest in the NFL to wane more and more.
I'm predicitng a 10-6 record as long as Trent Edwards can become a true leader at QB, he surely has the support of a quality recieving corps and running game. Now he just has to hold up his end of the deal. I kind of wish Buffalo would have been more aggressive in trying to pick up Mike Vick for a backup QB, having that extra wildcard threat could have been very interesting and with TO and Vick in the mix there could have been alot of attention that a small market team like this needs to be in the spotlight.
It's tough being a fan of a team that constantly finishes 9-7, 8-8, or 7-9 and just barely misses the playoffs and is mentioned as a bubble team around week 14 every year. Hopefully this one will be different.
