His injury is 100%, I just don't see him in game shape. Even Lick mentioned this last presser. Everyone else has been playing nonstop bince the season ended, Cole didn't have that privilege. He is a little behind. I don't expect him full, game strength, until BT play. I can buy that. I can attest that the biggest thing is getting over that mental hurdle. I was scared out of my mind my first time I stepped on a court, and it was probably too early and too much, it was a 3 on 3 tournament at ISU during VEISHA. I am not a very athletic looking guy in the first place as some on here could attest to, and sitting on my butt for 9 months didn't help any.

I can't name a single player on the BB team. That's how "into" Iowa basketball I am. Or college basketball for that matter.
I guess I'll watch come March, but I'll tell you this: The day after the superbowl is a dark, dark day, because that means no more football for several months.

We are going to surprise some teams this year. We are still a year away from the NCAA tourney. NIT is very much in sight. This incoming class is SEVERELY underrated. Gatens, Tucker, Fuller as froshes are legit Big Ten players. As far as Peterson goes, we have healthy alternatives. Jermain Davis can handle PG responsibilies without any problems, and Tucker has been practicing at the 1 quite a bit. I am not worried about the PG issues. The main concern is our inside game. With Cole not 100% yet (don't fool yourself, he hasn't played BB in a long, long time) and Brommer not Big Ten ready yet, Iowa can't afford injuries our fouling out. We don't even know what we are getting with Palmer either. So until Cole get game ready, we have to rely on Tate in middle and play 4 smalls... which means a lot of 3 balls being launched. I like this team a lot. They play excellent team ball. Right around 20 wins this year. NIT. 8 to 10 Big Ten wins. Really? you think around 20 wins this year? I like that optimism. I was thinking it's going to be a record kind of like last year. Around .500 or under. I watched team last night, and wasn't too impressed. I know we're young, but I believe a good team would've handled UTSA a little easier than we did.
