....for the holidays and even more important, what are you doing New Years Day?
Family in town starting Thursday through Monday, then I'm off to Tampa for some fun in the sun with the Hawkeyes.
What big, exciting plans do you all have?

I'm off to Sedalia for Christmas with the fiance's family tomorrow night and Christmas Day. I think we're going to go to KC on Friday and check out the lights on the Plaza and just look around for post-holiday deals perhaps.
New Year's we're doing something with some friends of hers...a house party of sorts I'm told. New Year's Day, I'm watching the game whilst dressed in Iowa gear from head to toe, or at least head to waist. She'll have to deal with me watching football all day.

Christmas Eve, Christmas on my immediate families side.
Christmas morning just us and our girls.
Friday go out to eat and a movie.
Saturday, Christmas on her side.
Sunday, Christmas on my dads side and football.
Monday, FOOTBALL dressed in Hawkeye gear!!!!
Christmas on my Moms side the 3rd of January.
My girls are going to be 3 spoiled little brats by the time this is all over. Should be fun.

Thanksgiving was our big holiday for this year, most of our close folks are rolling with the in-laws this year, which generally means most of them are going out of state.
Tonight: End of year fantasy football beer session, errr, banquet at Legends
Wednesday, Christmas Eve: My mom comes over, (in laws already in Florida), go to happy hour and dinner at Texas Roadhouse, desert at PF Changs where my oldest daughter works.
Thursday, Christmas: Mom comes over, open packages, have all the other "orphans" (friends of ours, or kids friends with nothing to do) in town come over, go out to Chinese for lunch, everyone back over for cocktails and Wii.
Boxing Day: Kick back and make fun of the proles who have to work. Drink beer.
Saturday: Drink beer.
Sunday: Watch football, drink beer.
Monday: Work
Tuesday: Work
Wednesday: Make fun of the proles who have to work, get ready for big New Years eve bash at our house. Have big NYE bash.
Thursday: Puke, sleep, get up early, bring all flat screens in house to living room and get ready to watch football all day. Neighbors come over to cheer Hawks to blowout win.
Friday: Make fun of proles who have to work. Drink beer.
Saturday: Drink more beer.
Sunday: Dry out.
Merry Christmas, Happy Jewish Candle thingy, and Happy Kwanza to all you fucktards. I'll be holding down the fort while all yous travel around this wonderful country of ours.

Christmas - celebrating at my house with mother, wife and brother. Maybe find some kind of activity to do that night.
New Year's Eve, undecided, depends when I get off work. New Year's Day, Hawkeye game and football.
All other days: being the prole Jackass is making fun of and working.

Wed- Go to my Mom's house halfway between here and Iowa City, sit around shoot the poop and have some beers before going to my G'ma and G'pas place to eat, watch the kids open presents then play Pepper till about 1 or 2 am.
Thurs- Wake up, watch everyone open gifts at my Mom's before heading up to CR. Open presents, eat good food, maybe watch a movie in the afternoon then play cards, board games, video games, pool, sit in the hot tub, etc. etc. until about 1 or 2 am.
Fri- Go to IC and hang at some old watering holes.
Sat- Go to my mom's for a card night.
Sun- Get back to DSM by 1 for cable to get hooked up.
Mon- Return to prolish job
Tues- Work
Wed- Work, then go get effed up. No real solid NYE plans, something should come up.
Thurs- Watch Hawks kick ass. (Side note: What are all of the Des Monies area Wastelanders doing for the game?)
Fri- Go to work
Take it easy over the weekend.
This will be the first X-mas for all of my family to be together in 4 years (have siblings in Chicago, Cleveland, and San Diego). Should be a pretty good holiday season.

We are planning on inviting quite a few people. We have invited people from Monte as well and "Jim and Jen" from IC. Itheus may make an appearance. (not likely) Any Wastelander in the DM area are welcome to come. (let me know) We are going to have some food to cook, hamburger/brats etc. Also might purchase a 6ft sub or somthing. And i may warm up the smoker and slow cook some Ribs or bbq brisket. Drunk. |

Seriously. My buddy lives there, works for ISU, so he gets money from ISU that he uses to buy IOWA season tickets. We will probably have a small gathering New Years Eve and will be staying around to watch the game on NY Day. Perhaps we will go to Hickory Park and I will try the Garbage Burger.
