I bought a ton of Ford bonds that matured today. I bought them during the upheaval right after Lehman tanked and got a sweet deal. It looked clear that Ford would make it until today, but I'll admit, I was sweating bullets when the government was talking about taking all of the Big 3 down back in December. Phew.

Man, obama is going to renege on many of his promises, much like he has done already.
Once true Americans no longer fear democrats, we can start voting libertarian *true Americans".

I'll admit when Obama said he would put Republicans in his cabinet I didn't believe it. That being said I am getting a huge kick out of the hard core democrats that are squirming right now thinking they elected a centrist into office.

Such an insightful display of hyperbole. Coming from the queen of hyperbole, that's a compliment. What statement about these three cabinet nominations is untrue? I think the Talking Points Memo on Geithner is that he ISN'T a tax cheat, as he allegedly did NOT INTEND to underpay his taxes, he simply lacks the reading comprehension, math skills and analystical skills to understand the interconnectedness between the questions asked on Turbo Tax and all of the various 1099s and W-2s he received in the mail in late January of various years. He's not a cheat, he just lacks knowledge of the tax code, analytical skills and attention to detail. Just the kind of guy who should be put in charge of running the Federal Hedge Fund, err, Treasury Department. In all honesty, I don't think his defense bodes well for the Treasury because I believe persons who purportedly have attained a level of post-secondary education and comprehension of financial markets that is superior to even mine as a corporate lawyer have absolutely no reason to make mistakes like that on a document that they sign under penalty of perjury as true, correct and complete, but as usual, I defer to the President's decision and good faith belief in the man - if the President feels he's the best man for the job, get him in there ASAP and get the TARP 2 up and running so the credit market gets going again.

Thanks for clearing that up. Here are two links from Talking Points Memo. One about a tax cheat and one about someone being dogged by The Evil GOP. If anyone did they're as big of dipshits as the the idiots(Robert Redford etc...) vowing to move out of the country if Bush won in the previous election or the idiots(Stephen Baldwin) vowing to leave the country if BHO won this one. What's the matter, cali? You like tax cheats heading up The Treasury?

I'm not in the mood to be quite as diplomatic as IAMMR. The fact of the matter is that, over the course of the past 8 years......screw that.....over the course of the past 40 years, it has been the liberals who have been screaming for the U.S. Federal Government to govern our Country as governments in Canada, France and the European Union govern theirs. The Conservatives have never made that argument. That is why the public service announcement went out to liberals to move to the Countries they want the United States modeled after. It is the Conservatives who have fought to keep the United States the greatest Country in the world. Why would Conservatives even think about leaving? We are seeing our Country moving closer to Socialism ever day with every bailout and Government takeover. We, as Conservatives, will continue to fight to make sure the damage that is being done will be reversed as soon as possible.....but we ain't leaving. I know you won't thank us, but hopefully, your Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren will.

Before the 04' election NUMEROUS Hollwood Libs' out there were saying they were moving to either Canada or Europe. Let the losers leave. Socal, I rarely listen to Limbaugh anymore. He is to out there for me much like O'reilly, not that they don't both occasionally come up with some good points.

He did say this past year that he would leave if BHO was elected. I wish him (and the whole Baldwin clan) and the lib douches that said the same thing in 2004 would leave for good. There's always another election. I'm the kind of guy that flys Old Glory with pride no matter what party/person is in control.
