That game was so fucking awesome. I became a Bills fan as a direct result of playing that game.
I remember setting up the playbooks so that you only ran one or two formations. That way, your opponent couldn't identify what play you were calling pre-snap.
At some point you learn how to juke out the computer almost every time. I'd spend an entire season without passing the ball just to see what kind of insane stats I could pile up.

I would also point out that Reggie Roby was 1 of 2 Afro-American punters on that game.....Vince Coleman's cousin punted for the Vikings.

There was also a trick with the nose guard where you could sack the QB almost everytime. That was the cheapest of the cheap.

BTR, when you throw that crazy fucking party at your new crib, we need to get a Tecmo Super Bowl tournament going. I think I almost lost friends I was so crazy good at it. You must be talking about other friends ...

I was pretty killer at Tecmo Super Bowl. I remember one point where Itheus used to be pretty boss at this game but playing in the later years I beat his ass most of the time.

I like Lawyers and Pharmacists divisions. Lawyers = the known cheaters, thugs, back stabbers, rogue, sell-your-sister-for-a-win programs. (Nebraska, Minnesota, Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan for starters) Pharmacists = upstanding, integrity, clean-as-a-whistle programs. (Iowa, Indiana, PSU, Purdue for starters) Now before you toss Iowa's recent minor misgivings in my face, I'm talking about a body of work...say...the past 100 years.

I've played that more than you'd like to know around the slow times of the year. The thing that sucks is trying to play Tecmo Bowl with just the directional keys. Also, I got pretty far in Dragon Warrior one day and was decimated when I found out I couldn't save my progress. FUCK. Got to Level 5 in Blaster Master...couldn't save it. FUCK.

Watch out for Metroid. It provides you a code so you CAN save your game. But I don't know if you want to open that can of worms...if you enjoy being employed that is.

And Delaney admits that the names are lame. 90% disapproval! I didn't realize that was possible for anything.

You must be talking about other friends ... I fucked yo' shit up. You have a selective memory. I recall going back and forth quite a bit, but still think I ultimately had the upper hand (of course). I also recall playing Risk and dropping the nastiest farts on earth and spraying Right Guard to cover up the smell. Memories ....

Those farts were chemical warfare dude. You needed a way to can that up and send overseas.

Now they are saying that "Legends" and "Leaders" are not set in stone.
Well, we should fucking hope not. Kudos to Delaney actually listening to the fans and reconsidering. The Big 12 could learn a thing or two from the Big 10 (12).
