Meanwhile, at the Scooter Academy for Fine Arts... I don't understand the whole performance art thing to the extent that I doubt there is anything there to understand. The artists, performers, whatever, can do anything and their gullible public will pretend to understand and enjoy it so they don't appear to be rubes. Nice work if you can get it, assuming it pays.

Yeah...I'm with you. I don't get it either. When my daughter was in dance, at the recitals there was always the "Lyrical" group. I get tap dance, ballet, jazz...but lyrical? It was always some hodge podge of abstract sucky music and a bunch of girls with whispy costumes that seemed to spend a lot of time rolling on the floor.

Gawd I luv the shit and ideas that pass for some kind of high art...... One day Imma sculpt a dawg taking an outdoor shower out of smashed meatballs and call it Plastik Schnitzel. PPl will be all "you can tell how much he appreciated creative conflict by the 5 dimensional GMO-laden meatball spackling technique he used." "he's so ahead of his tyme" "we're not rubes because we get it."

What I don't appreciate is that, for instance, the guy on the back on the skateboard? That was basically me my first two years in hike school. But was I ever considered a brilliant artist or visionary thinker?

It's a representation of the slow progress sword swallowers made while forced into the background while the puppets of the worlds governments were celebrated in the forefront of societies consciousness.

I can't believe the rest of you dolts can't get that.

That's the thing I don't understand. In the twelfth century, it war the Muslims that preserved all the knowledge of the ancient Greeks while the Catholic church burnt every science text they could find. The Muslims were the only thing that preserved what we consider western civilisation, yet now they as backward as the Catholics were during the dark ages. WTF?
