Surprised this didn't come up as a topic yet, but did anyone see the Brittney Spears South Park. Very poignant......

It was somewhat disappointing. It only had a few funny parts.

While the level of "disturbing" is relative when South Park is concerned, that one was very disturbing.

While the level of "disturbing" is relative when South Park is concerned, that one was very disturbing. It seemed like it was more shocking just to be shocking. It wasn't really funny and was just the same joke over and over again.

While the level of "disturbing" is relative when South Park is concerned, that one was very disturbing. The 'headless' Brittney did get old, even though her recording session was somewhat funny.

The joke wasn't that she was headless. The joke was that despite the fact that she had no head, they wouldn't stop shoving her in everyone's face.
Still, wasn't an instant classic, save the camel toe part.

Oh I wasn't defending the episode, it wasn't my fav. However, I will not sit here and complain, because it was a smart episode, and still better than 80% of anything else on TV. However SP has been on such a hot streak the last few years, but this didn't quite live up.

Unfortunately this episode was built up to me as a 'classic'. I was rather disappointed, but like you said, still better than most anything else on TV.

I saw an article the other day noting that following Britney is a $120 million per year industry, but that we should feel sorry for the vultures, errr, papparazzi who have no new material since Britney hasn't done anything slightly strange in the past few weeks.

The episode was shit. One of the worst I've seen in a long time. Had some funny parts though.

I agree spank, worst episode since the Towlie one where Oprah's vag pulls a gun on everybody.

I thought "Mr. Garrison's new vagina" was pretty lame...probably the least I've laughed at an episode.

I agree spank, worst episode bince the Towlie one where Oprah's vag pulls a gun on everybody. That episode at least had some great lines, though. "How hot would you like your Chang sauce?" I still can't go to PF Chang's because of that line. "You're a towel." "You're a towel."

Really? Oh man I loved the "New Vag" one.
I thought last week's was okay, but not great. It kinda' seemed like an episode they had about half, maybe three-fourths written, and just kinda' slapped it together and threw 'er out there. I dunno, it was ok, I guess. No totally over-the-top/holyfuckIcan't believeIjustsawthatontelevision moments, but also no "all up its own ass" message (well, not too much, anyway). Kinda reminded me of the Easter Bunny one - just goofy and silly (which seems to be the direction they've gone a lot lately). Actually, I would've liked to have seen more of/gone more in-depth on the crazy Everyone-Knows-About-This-But-Kyle cult(?)/killing celebs thing, a la the Secret Easter Bunny Society episode (god I fuckin love Randy Marsh).
Seemed like they really rode the top-of-the-head-blown-off joke really hard.
Meh.

I don't know, the whole changing Kyle's dad into a dolphin kind of creeped me out, as did transformation of Kyle...

1980s parodies seem more like Family Guy territory though. also, I wonder if you really could ferment feces to get high?

I would think you could achieve a high from fermenting lots of things... So yeah, why not turds? I guess you'd just be huffing methane, more or less. That'd do it.
