On a somewhat related note I find Stiegl's Grapefruit Radler to be outstading.

Interesting. I must look for that at Totes Wine. If you like grapefruit you'll like this.

I talked to the dude's at BeerCrazy a few months back and they said they don't carry JP anymore because they got too proud of their shit and started to charge too much for it.
They had LaFolie there this last weekend though and I purchased 2 bottles. For $12.50 each. Beats the hell out of the $20 per that New Belgium was charging at the brewery when I was out there 3 months ago. I just don't understand how it could possibly cost nearly double AT the brewery.

Hop 15 ale is the best beer I've ever had. Ten percent. So good. DFH 90 Minute > > > hawp fifteen Both of those beers are excellent, but the Hop 15 is liek $10 for a 22, which is just more than I'm willing to pay (unless it's at the train station). Do not get DFH 120, though. Garbage. Anyway, I found one that for now I like better than Hop 15 and DFH 90 and that is O'so Lupulin Maximus. They leave a hop cone in the bottle. Bince I quit drinking Coors and Coors Light, I've found that I have to keep going stronger and stronger to find something that I liek. osobrewing.com/lupulin-maximus-imperial-ipa/

Guess it depends on who you talk to... Funny plenty of other stores have no problem with JP. It's no secret Jolly Pumpkin's stuff is pricey...............plenty of other OVERPRICED beers in that place the way it is. Give me a fucking break... Fuck New Belgium.

Had 4 16 oz cans plus a few Oberons on Monday at a BBQ. I drink the shit out of something for a few months and move on, though. About two weeks ago I picked up a 6er of Revolution Anti-Hero and that led to a couple more. Might wind up going that route this summer. But if I get home late from work and am going to have just one beer, I make that an O'so Lupulin.

It's only 9%. But that ABV number isn't to be trusted on these sorts of beers, because it can swing pretty fucking wildly from batch to batch (but some states will pull distro license if there is much deviation). I happened into it by chance. I was at World of Beer watching the Badger-Zona game and the manager from corporate had me fill out a survey and said I could get anything for free. Me and mah boy were just drinking off the 'sconny section of the menu and that was the most expensive. Solid choice, though, and thankfully the liquor store down the street from me has it in stock.

I think it's interesting how Surly is coming into Iowa. They aren't publicizing it at all. Back in April they had a tap takeover at El Bait Shop and since then random Surly beers are showing up here and there. On occasion I have seen some cans at HyVee and just last night they had Surly Schadenfreude on tap at Old Chicago. Hell, their website doesn't even show them distributing in Iowa yet.

I don't know about that brewery, but some of them out here don't even need to advertise for it. If they blew up, they couldn't keep up with demand anyway. They spread out and then try to grow slowly. But that's just from what I know of a few around here.
