I fuckin love Black Butte Porter from Deschutes, I drank too much of it though and, like normal, got burned out; agreed on their Obsidian though, not too great. I really like Dragon's Milk too... Rover Truck from TG ain't too bad, but I couldn't drink too many of those, just seemed really rich. Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout is fucking good. Founder's Breakfast was good the first time I had it. Too expensive for non-lawyer types. I already have a headache FUCK OFFFFFFFF!~!!11!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this the reason for the boycott? I never paid much attention. It's a peoplecott. Gendered language has no home here. Consider this your last warning.

It's a peoplecott. Gendered language has no home here. Consider this your last warning. Sorry, is this the reason the retards were peoplecotting? In part, yes, but the hour-long word salad interview from the head of marketing that got popular after this incident didn't win them any customers. I think most of the beer market operates on sheer inertia and the first rule of selling beer is to make sure you don't give your customer a reason to try anything else, which is why they are keen on ensuring they always have product on the shelf and in all sorts of mass sales on premises consumption venues. Transheuser Busch will be fine because mass market beer, like every other industry, has merged into roughly a global duopoly and the small guys are gonna get wiped in the coming recession and higher interest rate environment. The bigger problem for them is that kids don't drink much beer anymore and T-B's seltzer offerings are supposedly way behind their competitors. They also have the Teamsters pissed off over the next labor contract and that ain't gonna be cheap to resolve. The problems they are having are indicative of the credential culture path the US is heading down. The company got sold to a Belgian company run by Brazilians. These guys don't know their elbows from their assholes. The guy who ran marketing before the merger who was responsible for Bud & Bud Light's lofty sales was just some random bro who went to Illinois. Dude was integral in all the huge campaigns of the past. Enter the furn'ers, they decided to go Ivy League for senior hiring. All that does is gives you someone willing to regurgitate the latest buzzwords. Now they don't know what to do so they are just slapping some bro country and a few American flags in their campaigns in a pathetic attempt to try to paint themselves as anything other than a multinational corporation.

Funny shit there. Remember when they had that Supar Bohl commercial that was bashing Pumpkincranberrybillybmblerlatte ale, or whateverthephuck? They were running craft beer in the dirt, all while owning all sorts of "craft" beer.... And don't feed me that inertia shit, because what kind of stupid-assed excuse for a marketing plan would include weening anyone off ultra-expensive product lines, in favor of cheapo product lines...?

When the missus and I first got married money was tight. I used to buy whatevever was on sale at the local small town grocery store. It was always cases of long necks like Schaefer, Schmidt, or the best was when it was Hamm's. IIRC it was always less than $10 a case. That would leave enough for a carton of Marlboros for $5.

My dad told me, he's 70, back when he first bought his acreage, it has a literal root cellar that branches off in basement, that he filled it with big-mouth Schmidt. Said someone had it on sale for liek $1/flat or soemthing. Needless to say even in his twenties he couldn't drink it fast enough and ended up tossing most of it.

Was also pleasantly surprised by how good Bell's Light Hearted is, I always loved Two hearted, and this is also refreshing.
