I'm just brain barfing. I am expressing my wishes and hopes that humanity will somehow, some way, turn it around, in my lifetime. That's all I'm doing. It's a fantasy, and I know that, but I'm an eternal optimist, so I will always hope. Insinuating that I want "the gov't" to drive something is fucking absurd. It's an amateurish, zero-quality troll. False, acting like a 20 year old broad writing a philosophy paper is zero-quality trolling. I can't believe I fucking fell for it. XO Jane has me on retainer, bitch!

What should change? You sound like a whiny bitch in a dorm at some liberal arts college. Seriously. Wherever big crowds congregate, there is a risk for shit like this going down. It happens all over the world. Sure, I guess you could change something so that your BFF from TSA can search every fucking bag that ever enters an open roadway. Bag sizes at Kinnick will get reduced again. And they'll have more people patting down coats and checking purses and shit so lines to get in will get longer and it will become more difficult to sneak in a bottle of hooch. Shit will change, assknob, as the government's presumption that you're doing something wrong will grow and your freedom and privacy will shrink. You're just pissed because the anti-freedom agenda that will come from this isn't being diverted to your pet cause of the day. Another swing and a miss. I want people to be better, nicer, more honest, more caring, more loving. I want all the hurt and anger and pain and violence and hate to stop. I want humans to do this out of their intrinsic sense of right and wrong. In no way do I think or want "the gov't" to do any fucking thing. When will you become bored with your attempts to depict me as something I am not? Then you're going to have to shut down AM talk (i.e. hate screed) radio for starters. Millions of people are fed a steady diet of paranoid lies and hate every second of every day over "our" public airwaves, vile demonizing rhetoric designed to turn neighbor against neighbor for no discernible rational reason. At least the Civil War had slavery as a premise. The conflict was real. Today's internal domestic hatred is with almost without exception entirely manufactured. I'm from a country where this shit got out of control resulting in incalculable horror. I've zero tolerance for it.

As much as I'd like to see motherfuckers like Fred Phelps and limpbaugh shut down/silenced, it simply can't happen. As I stated earlier, I realize it is total fantasy to expect people to NOT be stupid sheep.

Would not be surprised to learn this is more of a domestic act, such as Timmy McVeigh committed in Oklahoma City, as opposed to foreign-born terrorists. Although it doesn't fit the pattern that most acts committed by white supremacist types or anti-government groups are against government or government agents, not random citizens. Guess we'll see... This "Patriot Day" date seems to be a fairly predictable day for these domestic terrorists to engage in their terrorism. It smells domestic to me too for that reason...but who knows. The Islamists are past due for an attack. I'm actually surprised this shit doesn't happen with more frequency in this country. It's a target rich environment, and it's pretty easy to leave a backpack laying around in a crowded place. Fortunately 99.999% of the population isn't demented enough to do this shit.

You can't say "fuck" on the radio, but you can stir up discord and violence. That ain't right. If you want to stir up discord and violence, do it over satellite radio or via webcast. You don't have the right to pollute the public airwaves with vile propaganda. We own those airwaves and we can decide what kind of content is allowed over them. Instead of freaking out over shit and fuck and tits, perhaps we should ponder whether violent, demonizing rhetoric is something that might be little more offensive to our precious ears than the word twat. Sure, it's a tricky line to straddle subject to slippery slopeness, but violent propaganda and deliberate lies should not be taxpayer supported. Again, my origins probably make me more sensitive to this hateful propaganda, but so be it. BTW this is not confined to the radical right. If you can point me to big-money radical leftist hate propaganda being spewed over the public airwaves, I'll condemn it equally stridently. Propaganda in all of its iterations is evil and should not be supported by taxpayers.

Fortunately 99.999% of the population isn't demented enough to do this shit. Sadly, you are correct. I used to ride a commuter train daily an hour into NYC and back and was surprised there was never an attempted attack ala Spain. Despite all sorts of posters on trains and TV and radio ads, packages got left on overhead racks or under seats all the time and no one ever said anything. After 9/11, many of the garbage receptacles on the platforms where hundreds of commuters gather waiting for trains were replaced with ones with clear sides. Unfortunately, the bags they continued to use were nearly 100 percent opaque, making it difficult to see what had been deposited. In sharing that, I hope you are not a terrorist or that I gave you ideas...

Mission accomplished, and thanks. Anyways... I am a tireless believer in "vox populi". Meaning, I agree with you that provocative hate speech and blatant lying should not be part of the public airwaves (nor the public discourse in general), but until the people speak up and eliminate it through peaceful, democratic channels, it'll exist and in some cases flourish. I don't want Big Gub deciding what can and can't be broadcast. Also, do you find it laughably ironic that right wingnuts are all about the first amendment, except when it comes to NPR and MSNBC and pretty much any media source other than Fokkks?

This shit is terrifying. I can't even talk to my wife about this - she's doing the Wisconsin marathon next month and the Chicago marathon in the fall. Fucking ball bearings to take out peoples legs...just sickening. When my wife runs, I'm at the finish line. Even though I'm not a runner, it's such an incredibly uplifting experience to see these people accomplish this feat. There's tears, hugs, smiles, celebration. To go from that to a scene of terror is just...sickening. Relax. The fucks who do this stuff don't hit the same stuff twice. What happens is they'll use one method and then there is a response that makes that method impossible in the future. For instance, when that nut blew up the truck in the basement of the WTC, it got real hard to get a truck anywhere near the base of the building. So they flew planes into it. Marathons will now establish perimeters around heavily crowded areas and all bags will go through a bag search. I'm not necessarily concerned that it's going to happen at another marathon or to myself and my loved ones. Just the very act of trying to blow a crowd of people up is terrifying. The fact that we have no idea where this will happen at next (because it will), is terrifying. I definitely hugged the wife a bit harder last night (and squeezed her nice runner ass).

They don't know shit about the incident yet, but some stupid Fucks on the left are all ready blaming it on the sequester. It's not even 24 hours old yet, give it a rest. BO even said it's not a Rep. or Dem. issue.

I don't want Le Guv to decide who is on the public airwaves. I want Le Guv to set minimal standards of responsible discourse. Minimal standards that shouldn't be difficult to adhere to unless you're a hate-spewing defamatory propagandist. If there's anything in this world that's inherently un-American and should never be tolerated, it's fucking propaganda. We deride North Korea and Cuba and Russia etc. for the ridiculous propaganda their citizens are subjected to, and rightly so. But some "Americans" need to take a long hard look in the mirror. Many actually seek the propaganda. What a sordid way to live. There's prolly no way to enforce what I'm advocating without unduly stifling free speech, so pressuring advertisers is just about all that's likely achievable.

Is this what you're referring to? livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/entry/hoyer-boston-attack-is-proof-if-proof-is?ref=fpbIf so, I invite you to amend your comment to note that Hoyer was responding to a question by a reporter during a routine press briefing. If there are other individuals blaming this incident on the sequester, please link to them so they may be adequately derided.

Let's not do this, Tweetsie! Really. This is NOT a political football. I know you hate President Fartblammo, but he ain't to blame for this. Nor did he personally order Sandy Hook as the first step toward confiscatin' all teh gunz of patriotic honkies. Take your tinfoil hat off for a few days, let your paranoia-soaked brain get some air.

Oh-queefe is just doing what he does, which is start up the chainsaw and then hand it off to someone else to do the cutting and wet work.
The way I read your poast above was that you were agreeing with whomever suggested that teh sequester (and therefore, Fartbongo) was "to blame" for yesterday. If I misinterpreted your words, I sowwy.
