Pizza has to have MEAT and lots of cheese, and no paper thin crust. Other than that, I'm pretty easy to please.
Zoey's in Marion -- best, pizza, joint, ever.

I love Wig & Pen, and excited about them coming to the Des Moines area (Skankeny). Even though it's literally a hole in the wall, I like Big Tomato as well.
I'll take just about anything on my pizza, except mushrooms and pineapple.

Caseys Taco Pizza is the best.
I recently ate a pizza from a small bar in Milo Iowa. They use a wood stove to cook it. It was absolutely fantastic. Northern Lights pizza isn't bad either.

Pizza Ranking Scale:
Pagliais ... ... ... Caseys ... ... ... Totino's

Good call on PR. The Paul Revere's terminator was the greatest thing in college. If you squeezed the grease out of one of those, I bet you could fill up a milk jug.

I'm a fan of the chicago style pie. In college at UNI it was the Papa John's Large single topping delivered for $5.99. They eventually changed the coupon and we switched to the 3 medium single toppings for $5 each, and got 3 guys to go in on it.

Pagliai's is by far the best pizza I've ever had. Fantastic stuff. Casey's taco pizza is another favorite...and Hawaiian pizza in general is something I enjoy. I think my personal favorite has to be a sausage, peppers and onions with a side of ranch. Mmmmm...I'm drooling just thinking about it.

There are still a couple of Paul Reveres open, not sure if the one in IC is, though. I also enjoy Pagliais and Caseys, but there's this little place in Williamsburg that has great pizza. Whenever the old lady goes to the outlet mall, she has to bring it back....awesome stuff.

I'll give a shout out for Zeno's in my 'hood of Marshalltown.
DAMNED good pizza. Although, if you don't like thin crust, you may not like it.
And, I will admit... they are pretty damned proud of their pizza too, judging by what they charge. Bring some extra pop can money if you go!

Socal, Paul Revere's? Disgusting man, Prego on cardboard. The former Jimmy's Brickoven/Bistro in I.C. did well. Nothing beats the Airliner's thick crust meat pizza. Damn you Lohaus! Why could you just buy a fishing pole at Wal-Mart like the rest of us? Gino's East in Chicago is exceptional. Nationally, if you have ever been wasted on 6th St. in Austin, TX you would have purchased a slice of "Satan's pizza" at Hoek's. Scary people serving it but it's what it takes to elevate your stomach acidity and fatty acids levles to keep you from barfing up the booze.
Honorable mention:
1. The Wedge in I.C. - Margarita or roma tomato pizza 2. Happy Joes' Taco (staple of any pizza list) 3. Pagliali's 4. Aurelio's pizza (calabrese) 5. Mama Cozzi's from Aldi's...for the man on the go (as in desires diarrhea)

I like Pizza On Dubuque after a getting sh*tfaced in IC. I like Dominos for delivery. I like Casey's for carry-out. I like Totinos party pizzas at home. Or Jack's. I like these because I grew up eating them. I like Pizza Ranch for dine-in pizza. I like allrecipes.com/Recipe/Gourmet-Chicken-Pizza/Detail.aspx for homemade pizza. It beats all the others, plus it's cheaper and more satisfaction in making it myself. One Pizza I don't particularly like is Papa John's. These guys were good about 10 years ago. Now they suck.

Good call Stu, I don't know how Falbo's got blocked out of my head. I think I have eaten more Falbo's pizza than any other one kind of food on earth. The fat guy with the gray beard though always made me want to put rubber bands in his facial hair and start dancing and sing "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". But I awkwardly do that to random workers at McDonald's sometimes too.

Nah... Papa John's has pretty much always sucked. Bad crust, bad sauce, bland-tasting toppings, and the shittiest delivery drivers on the planet. At least that's how I remember them.
