I think it's -35 below here. My son said he was going out to play. I let him, so he'd get off the computer. He probably wound up at the house of the little girl down the street..... 60 seconds later.

Maybe don't shoot innocent wild life for fun?
Unless you are using the meat, I think hunting is abhorrent. But if you are using the meat, I got no problems.

I didnt get a deer. It was cold and it turned out no wind so it was impossible to sneak up on anything. The population is way down this year. I actually managed to stalk within 50 yards of a couple of does feeding this am. Unfortunately a yote came through before I could get a shot and busted the deer. It should go without saying I shot the yote four times to satisfy my blood lust and anger for spooking the does.

I don't hunt. Too much of a time commitment. I used to a long time ago.
Plus I feel guilty shooting unsuspecting animals when there are so many human assholes who so richly deserve it.

Numbers are definitely down Gumby, and another dry summer and they will fall even further. Blue Tongue has hit the white tails pretty hard. If I make it through December it will be the first year I haven't had a claim from a deer accident in 3 years.

so what will you terrorize and murder instead of deer this autumn, Bonez? I mean, your blood lust must be sated, after all. maybe you should kill some old white republicans? hell, they're dying off pretty quickly anyways, so it won't matter to hasten things a bit I enjoy killing coyotes and I managed to kill a few of those this weekend. I haven't shot a deer in probably ten years. I'm the billy goat for the guys I hunt with. I enjoy the walking, and we hunt with limited people and so I do most of the pushing. I could have shot several deer and a hand full of decent bucks but didn't. I know you like to stir the hunting crowd but I know you are also sharp enough to know the benefits of hunting as well. As far as coyotes, don't even rack um and stack um, just let um lay.

exactly, and yotes are also a natural predator of deer which, if left alone (read: not killed by pasty suburban rambo-wannabes) would balance the deer population much more effectively than the aforementioned Great White Hunters ever could. But if you simply have to kill something, might as well be a defenseless dog, eh tuff guyz? I hate to pick apart your Blutarski-esq rant but you don't know shit about the natural world chubby bubba. Yotes ain't much of a threat for deer, unless you count cleanin up a gut pile a threat. They might shorten the life span of a sick animal by a few hours as it lies in its death bed or take a random newborn it stumbles across but to a healthy animal it's poses about as much threat as Tork poses to Rick Riley. They do however feast regularly on pheasants, turkey, and rabbits all of which are a good bit tastier than yote meat. I figure every yote I brain puts at least ten meals on the table of a hunter somewheres.

Coyotes and red-tailed hawks are thriving. Pheasants and rabbits, not so much.....
