From what I heard, Mr Keefe was able to fill 1 sandbag BEFORE the play clock expired, but not by much. However, when he threw the sandbag on the pile, it fell off the top and all the sand came out. Loss of 10 yards. Time to punt.

Okay. I'll be the first to do this... So far this year (two games in) Keefe has actually called some good plays and good offensive game plans. Seriously. I kid you not and it pains me to say it. Now... will this hold up to REAL competition?? That's the big question.

I did like the TE screen he called to Myers this past weekend, that looked liked a good call. The Iowa State game will say a lot. Will he adjust his play calling if ISU stops the run? Will he adjust play calling if JC plays more than Stanzi....hopefully that won't be the case. Ken Keefe will always be a cronie screw up in my mind, but hopefully this years team can make him look somewhat decent.

To be fair, Kenneth didn't fuck things up too badly this year. I still think he's worthless though. Has anyone's overall opinion changed about our offensive genius?

I'm still pissed about the play calling at the end of the NW game. We did have a shitload of turnovers, but the bottom line is that we had a chance to win the game in the end. Run the ball!!! We had it 1st and goal around the 7 or 8 if I remember correctly...plenty of time, in fact TOO much time. Had we scored on one of those pass plays, NW would've had enough time to score (they were moving the ball on us at will). I don't care if they were stacking the box...every team did this year. Other than that, I can't complain too much. Having a Shonn Greene doesn't hurt.

In my eyes, the 9-4 record hurt Kenny's stock even more. Yes, he called a great game against SC and the PSU game was just money, but those emphasized the thing I dislike the most about Kenny - the offense in NEVER ready early in the season. It seems to take them a month to wake up even when we have a good team and I believe that that rests on the QB coach/O-coordinator. We had talent to compete with anyone in the B10 this year, we showed it. That Iowa team should have lost 2 games maximum, but that fucking debacle in Pittsburgh and the shitstorm against NU were jokes. Plus, I still remember the QB sneak he called inside the fucking 10 against MSU where Stanzi fumbled on 2nd and 1. Fucking retard.

back to reality, no Greene = getting held under 90 yards rushing by a D1aa defense. KOK is back!

^^^
Reading over BTR's post from back in January is pretty interesting.
BTR, I'd say you nailed it perfectly. Kweefe is not a good coach. Period.

My favorite quote overheard while at the ISU game: "C'mon O'Keefe, call a blitz".
The poor guy can't catch a break. Even when his offense has a good game against ISU who we have struggled against in recent history he still gets ridiculed for something. Apparently he is the reason for everything that you don't like that happens on the field.

That being said, KK has actually done a good job so far this season. Let's hope it lasts and he doesn't start "outthinking himself"!

I'd appreciate Ken a whole lot more if he packed up his shit, including his three-page playbook, and skipped town. what'd he use the other two pages for?
