After the steamrolling OSu gave Wisky, shit, yea I can see why they picked OSU. Becky has pretty much been dominant on O most of the year and have probably the best RB in the nation and they made him look like shit. I'm not sure if Wisky thought, "Hey they lost their 2nd string QB, we'll roll them!" and came in flat expecting to blow them out because of it.
Well, as captn kurt would say "that's football". Snort.

One thing I have learned over the years is that ISU fans love to live vicariously through their shitty conference, especially when they don't make a postseason bowl...which is like every year basically.

LOL WUT?
"That's the tragedy of it all. Academically and in terms of university profile, we have much more in common with Penn State, Michigan State, Purdue, and Illinois - to name four - than with anyone in the Big 12. "

One thing I have learned over the years is that ISU fans love to live vicariously through their shitty conference, especially when they don't make a postseason bowl...which is like every year basically. The funny thing is, the Big XII stood to benefit greatly from a lack of a championship game. FFS, OSU was an underdog in the BoneG championship, and FSU was fucking vulnerable, plus Oregon was playing a team that had already beat them. If one of those teams lose, then the Big XII jumps in. Hell, if FSU lost, and OSU wins by less than 20, two Big XII teams make it. Now they are going to panic and add a shitty team liek Memphis or Cincinnati to get a championship game, when they have a pretty sweet arrangement right now, they just didn't get the luck of the draw. The only way OSU jumped Baylor and TCU was the fact they mercilessly slaughtered Wisconsin. You can't expect something like that to be the norm. Also, and this is what they still fail to get, the Big XII sucked this year. Yeah, it's top heavy, but with non-traditional powers, and only 4 teams have more than 7 wins.

ISU finished dead last; 128 of 128, in yards per game. However, that doesn't always tell the whole story, because they finished 118th in points per game, which as we know, is what really matters.
However, things look better on the offensive side of the ball, where genius Mangino managed to get them into double digits. 91st in yards per game (8th in the Big XII!!!) and 98th in scoring!
Doesn't matter, won Super Bowl.

AMES, Iowa- The Iowa State University Athletics Department announced today that it is bringing back one of the department’s most popular prior marketing initiatives by unveiling a new billboard campaign throughout the month of August. The Cyclones are installing billboards in Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids and Des Moines welcoming home new Big 12 Conference Commissioner Bob Bowlsby. “It’s been six years since the ‘It’s a Cyclone State’ billboards were unveiled and we still continue to be asked by our fans when the next billboard would be posted,” Iowa State director of athletics Jamie Pollard said. “We thought this was a great way to renew our billboard campaign and at the same time welcome the new Big 12 Commissioner Bowlsby back to the Cyclone State”. blogs.desmoinesregister.com/dmr/index.php/2012/07/24/iowa-state-to-up-cyclone-billboards/article

"Unless we have co champs than it really isn't one true champion but co champs, if you know what I mean. Plus if we do it this way we can get two teams in the playoff." Bowlsby trolled his own conference and it's sofa king awesome.

Chris Williams-
ISU @ TCU (-34) - This game is getting so much play from the style points perspective and rightfully so, but something tells me that Iowa State will actually score a few points and I do not think that Gary Patterson will look to run it up. Iowa State keeps it somewhat respectable. TCU 49, Iowa State 20.
So close
