I think you may be overestimating the number of seniors that graduate in obrien county in a year, or were you looking at a decades worth of seniors?

I think you may be overestimating the number of seniors that graduate in obrien county in a year, or were you looking at a decades worth of seniors? Well, according to my calculations, the three high schools that service O'Brien Co (Sheldon, Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, and South O'Brien), have a combined 715 students. Let's liberally estimate that 20% of them are seniors who are going to graduate, and that gives us 143. However, Not all students who go to these schools live in O'Brien co. Sheldon is the largest community in the county, but half of it lies in Osceola Co. So I think we can chop a good 1/3 off that number, so let's go with an even 100 total high school seniors. What would you say is the expectations that a student graduating would attend a university as a full time student? I'd say 50% either go straight into the workforce or vocational school, and of the 50 remaining, 25 go on a community college track. That leaves us with 25 students attending university as a full time student. ISU is, by almost two hours, the closest 4 year university. 9 students from O'Brien Co select ISU. Therefore, it's a CYCLONE STATE. SUCK IT HOXXXSX!!!

Ghost, I can tell you from personal experience that 87% of the intrepid seniors that do leave obrien county for a four year college never make it further than BV in lovely Storm Lake Iowa. A town that does not get near enough attention in the shittiest town in iowa thread.
