Had you been at the Thursday Cyclone lunch where Pollard decapitated every accusation in the newspaper article, you would know it was a hatchet job on Pollard and Hoiberg. Ames tribune is guilty from the newspaper Editor down to the scrub reporter Hines, who cherrypicked his facts, which he got wrong and wrote an article totally offbase. I have seen this type of thinking before where salespeople, who weren't aware of the facts behind a decision, went off half cocked with assumptions, which finally confronted with the true facts were like Hines, totally wrong. He got info from some idiots making assumptions about decisions that they were never involved with but had their wrong assumptions to keep them warm and fuzzy. Pollard explained the facts and reasons, which were easily accepted as true by the crowd, especially since Fred had already contacted Pollard and told Pollard to let him, Fred tell KXNO that the whole bubbub was totally wrong and that he had no problem with Pollard.
Hines needs to report only on cooking shows for the tribune, where only recipes can be be screwed up. Jamie was most distressed by the black eye ISU has been given by the national press picking up and printing the totally incorrect facts in the story.

Folks, I'd like to start a petition to swap places/conferences with ISU. They clearly don't appreciate fierce competition within their own super conference, and would appreciate a year Dr two of bowling, but not winning a division, in the bone g. Thoughts? For Christ's sake, I'm starting to side with them here...... It's just not fair that they have to play in that super conference they hold to fucking dear......

Hope Jerrah can keep him away from riots. Last thing they need is their 12th option at defensive line trashing street signs.

One win against one of the worst teams in the world... This team is better than I thought. I know we beat UNI (and should have) and beat a horrible Kansas team. But.... 1. We are putting up some points this year. 2. We are doing some different stuff on offense, like formations and misdirection stuff. 3. Our defense is way better than we were last year. I know we lost 2 games that we didnt want to lose, but the Hawks are tough this year and Toledo is better than first thought. Just think how young and inexperienced we still are, we will only getting better and I expect us to knock a few off. I think we will be pretty darn good next year. I think we harmfully measure success in wins, but this team has gotten a ton better from last year and from week 1. We are Iowa State guys, not Alabama!! we can't expect awesome years every year. Baby steps, baby steps. We ARE improved!!!

Kansas is the worst Power 5 conference football team hands down (Hell, Rutgers fucking beat them last week) Here is Okie St. non conf schedule Central Michigan Central Arkansas Texas San Antonio They also beat a shitty Texas team and an average K State team Texas Tech beat an average Arkansas team and played a close game with TCU and were blown out by Baylor Sorry aside from Okie, Baylor and TCU the Big 12 is a fucking dumpster fire. What Clowns fail to realize is they NEVER beat the top teams in the Big 12 they ALWAYS lose to the best teams in the conference. On top of that they fucking find ways to lose to the average teams in the Big 12 too. The problem is ISU views K-State, Texas Tech, Okie State as better teams (which they are) and hence they have a tougher schedule. Well if you never beat the fucking middle of the pack Big 12 teams of course you are going to fucking suck. Of course they are so consumed with finding a reason why they suck at football without looking in the mirror. I mean for fucks sake did they forget the mighty TCU had to hold on to beat Minnesota, you know a team that just got bitch slapped by Northwestern? A team that beat Ohio, Kent State, and Colorado State before that by a combined 9 points. Cyclone fans are so fucking delusional it's comedy. If they were in the Big Ten the last 5 years they would have the same record as Purdue. You also can't cry about your conference schedule when you only beat a fucking I-AA school in the non conference slate. Speaking of, ISU playing Iowa every year doesn't help them either, when most of the other schools in the Big 12 play 3 nobodies before the 9 game conference schedule starts.

Sells out their stadium and feeds the fans hope, and those two things are literally the only thing the program has to operate on. Playing Iowa every year is absolutely essential for the clowns.

If I were Pollard, I would try to get like a 10 year series with Nebraska scheduled, too. Sure, you're gonna lose at least 9 of them, but ISU desperately needs to have one actual sellout per season and if they can line it up like back in the old days where they get Nebraska at home in even years and Iowa at home in odd years, they should be able to pay off the SEZ construction costs. Nebraska would likely be down with it because then they would have a virtually guaranteed P5 non-con win every year. Hell, I'll bet that next season with no Iowa home game on the schedule, you'll be able to get two ISU season tickets with a subscription to the DMR or something else absurd.

It is miserable unless the weather is reasonably warm. No way they can move those OSU tickets. They really need to play UNI and Iowa every fucking year at home.

So an ISU fan could have gone to every home game aside from Kansas and paid $138 at $27 a pop. Or if you bought season tickets for $175 you would have paid $37 for the Kansas game.
So basically Pollard fucked over his season ticket holders and that doesn't even take into a account those that pay more for certain sections.
Oh and I saw a tweet that showed seats going for $11 for the Kansas game.

Also a couple of classics from the thread about this- Talking about comparing Cubs fans to ISU fans- Wrigley and Jack Trice the same atmosphere? And I thought I had seen it all. Talking about the SEZ not being paid off- Nobody has explained to this moron that over half the cost of the project was paid for by bonds NOT donations. cyclonefanatic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=208537&page=3

There are dozens of $10 seats available though.
