He wanted the best for Iowa State. I'm really sad that it didn't work out. He really loved his players. He is a good guy. No, by far my favorite quote from the preeser was Whoads saying that after they went to 3 (shit) bowls in his first 4 years he had offers from other schools. Give me a fucking break, there isn't a chance in hell any school was seriously looking to hire him away from Iowa State. In fact I might look up the coaching vacancies that year to find out where ole Paul could have gone. Have you checked out hike school openings?

That just means Maryland is going to have to hire some MAC/Sun Belt/AAC coach who won 9 games this year, and ISU will be stuck with the MAC/Sun Belt/AAC coach who won 8 games this year.

Some Hokk fanz were as bad thinking playing in the NBA wif MJ was experience enuf to be top Hokks coach. Yeah, but "some fanz" is not the same as basically the voice of the fandom and a guy who has the ear of the AD.

Some Hokk fanz were as bad thinking playing in the NBA wif MJ was experience enuf to be top Hokks coach. It probably was. Basketball is a lot less complicated. A former NBA PG has all the necessary knowledge to handle x's and os. All he needs is a couple of assistants to help recruit and he's set. Football demands more of an executive skill set.

For once I don't think it's difficult to figure out why they think that way you know because- But as mentioned football and basketball are two completely different animals when it comes to coaching. They might as well get Todd Blythe to coach the WR's too, as I'm sure he would totes awesome and could teach the savior Lazzard a thing or 47.

Iowa has two former players that played in the NFL and then later joined the staff. LaVar Woods spent years as a scouting assistant for Iowa before becoming a position coach. Brain Frents (if you want to call what he did an NFL playing career) spent years as a scouting asisstant with the Pats before becoming an NFL position coach, the a college position coach. Chrissy is so deluded that he thinks being young and loving ISU is enough to be a great recruiter. He literally gives those as the only reasons why they would have success. That's beyond fucking idiotic. It's like he has no idea how things work in football. Not even position coaches are guy who have no experience in coaching. Further to that point, neither of those guys live in Ames, and they both have families. Also, who's to say the new coach will want them around, choosing instead to go with a guy who is, you know, qualified...

But we all know given the chance they would move to Bondurant/Ames in a heartbeat for der mighty cardinal and yellow (blue) Not to mention judging by Seneca's time in front of a mike I highly doubt I would want him sitting in potential recruits living rooms showing parents how great an eduemcation he got at Iowa State.
