RDM is averaging 1.3 ppg in three games for Orlando so far.
There are still no ISU players on an NBA roster.

My biggest ragret in life is not going to a Magic game to see him in action while I spent two weeks in Florida.

Well I remember him as a great player but I haven't reviewed his stats lately, or Jan's outrage. If he's been the best, maybe they should consider it so he can see that while still alive. However, I think we're going to be retiring #30.

However, I think we're going to be retiring #30. I doubt we retire #30 As for Marble, I don't think we need to retire his number. His behavior over the past 25 years is nothing to celebrate, and retiring a number is more than just honoring his playing days, but it's also honoring the man. Bounced from the NBA for drug problems, multiple arrests, abusing alcohol...look, I'm sorry the guy is sick, but there is a reason why Ronnie Lester's number is retired, and Roy's isn't.

Don Nelson is way ahead of Roy in the retiring numbers line.

I tried explaining that to a friend of mine yesterday, he didn't understand the PR nightmare (even for the Iowa athletic department) that Roy Sr. has been since he left Iowa. Does his number deserved to be retired? Yes. Would it be nice to do it before he dies? Yes. That said I understand the reason not to and anybody with half a brain should be able to see that.

I love this post by Millar- Who cares about if he graduated from Iowa or not? Iowa made a lot of money off Roy Marble...and reaped rewards for a long time....and then his son went there and made them a lot of money....the Marble's have been very good to Iowa for a long timeThat might be the stupidest argument for retiring someone's number that I have ever seen. But not surprised that it came from Jon.

I did not know that Roy Sr. didn't graduate. That's no small part of this. Personally, I don't think his number should be retired, but I wouldn't be offended if it were.
