Wellmark BCBS will not write any new individual health care business next year in the state of Iowa. If you have a ACA plan it will be canceled.
So if you need coverage it's either group or hope to hell that one of the other two companies that offer individual coverage continue to do so next year. And it's very probable there will be a lot of counties with 0 or only 1 option for coverage. That will totally help keep costs down.
The GOP won't have to repeal the ACA as it is probably going to fail on it's on. That said I have no confidence in those asshats to actually put together a decent plan to replace it whenever round 2 comes.

Option 3: don't get sick or hurt.

Option 3: don't get sick or hurt. Since everyone's been forced onto high deductible plans even if you are not on Obama care, option 3 is really the only answer.

Scooter I don't have a employer. I buy health insurance for employees and I always get a kick out of guys like you, BFM, and the rest of the Bernie Bros talking about how great the plan is when you have nothing invested. The plan needs fixed but the Retardicunts don't have the ability to make the needed changes to keep it solvent.

For profit private health insurance as a primary administrator is a fraud based upon a farce.
Fuck, it wouldn't even exist, ironically, without Medicare, which shuffles all of the old and sick onto the taxpayer, and Medicaid, which does the same with the poor and old.
Greatest nation on earth my ass.

As an employer I'd rather pay a predetermined, predictable tax into a Universal Medicare program instead of spending my time and money acting as a fucking health insurance provider.
It'd be liberating. Universal medicare is actually a pro-business concept as far as I'm concerned. As for the squeals of "socialism," give me a fucking break. Next time you drive on a paved road, you're complicit in socialism.

I have a $15 co-pay on office visits, $25 for urgent care, and $50 for the ER. For all inpatient care we have a maximum out of pocket of $500 per year. Jelly?

I love polls like that. Any guesses why there was an uptick in popularity in the last 6 months? Because it's been on the news everyfucking day that the GOP was trying to "take away people's health care" The ACA is a piece of shit bill and the GOP are a bunch of fucking morons that can't tie their shoes. Go to Universal health care if somebody doesn't reduce cost of care and get people to stop shoveling big mac in their fat faces it really isn't going to do one lick of good. Whatever happens to health care it needs a massive overhaul in every little element to make anything actually better. Edit- forgot to mention Aetna is leaving Iowa for next year as well leaving Iowa with 1 company that has yet to announce their plans. If Medica decides to leave, oh boy what a cluster fuck that will be.

ObamaRomneycare is gaining in popularity for one reason, and it has nothing to do with the shitty exchanges or even the Medicaid expansion:
That reason is this: A bunch of dumbfuck white proles just figgered out that preexisting conditions and lifetime caps are gone, and junior can stay on the fam plan til he's 26.
And dumbfuck rethugs want to take it away. Because they're dumbfucks.
