I have a hard time believing your plan pays for anything.

I have a hard time believing your plan pays for anything. Bronze plan thru Coventry. $1000 deductible, $6k per person max. per year, $10 copay at Dr office, prescriptions (of which we now have none) start at $10, just to name a few highlights. Wife had to have some "cardiac studies" done, insurance paid for all but $50. Only time we've used to date.

You have to shop around with all the different plans to find what fits your needs and budget. Right now my budget is a little thin.

Brah, there ain't no bronze plan through Coventry with a $1000 deductible try $5,600 and also have fun if you need meds as the medical deductible applies before there is coverage.

You are aware that there are plenty of doctors that are no longer accepting new Medicare patients correct? Yep. I'm also aware that an accelerating percentage of the population is Medicare-eligible. So there's a disconnect and a dilemma going on here. These docs, clinics, and whatnot will be able to steer this skiff for a while, but the wave that is demographics always eventually wins. And with this demonstrating the mentality of your average 'Murkan, we are, my friend, quite unrighteously fucked. And this also explains why we are at the mercy of all politicians who know that they will be forgotten or not held accountable except in the case of an egregious act. Edit: thank fucking goodness I have Tricare for myself and the family. To cover our family here through my current job would have been 1200/ month. That is near one of the bi weekly pay checks I get. Given I make more than a lot of the employees in the county, I wonder how any of them ever find a way to success. This country's sense of right and wrong is really getting fucked up.

Wrong, already picked up one for $10. And just looked again, deductible is a grand each.

I'd say it's been royally fucked up for quite some time, especially amongst the political elite and their sugar daddy masters of the universe. Shit, just look at the massive discrepancy between what we spend on seniors versus what we spend on kids. America, ur doin it wrong. That who're Palin lied about death panels, but maybe the bitch unwittingly uncorked a grand idea.

I checked the marketplace myself. Not everyone sees the same plans. I saw some similar to what he is talking about. Not quite sure how it is decided on who sees what plans.

Just trying to edumcate da masses that have no clue what the fuck they are talking about. For the last time- Der ain't no Coventry silver plan with a $1000 deductible dat is unless you are an uber prole and qualify not only for a subsidy but also a cost sharing plan. If you gotes one of those you ain't got a fucking pot to piss in and are just above expanded medicaid coverage. ie- bringing home like $16G's a year. Baller.

Reading this thread reinforces my response to a request to consider a run for congress:
LOL! FUCK NO.
Although I would love to blast away at these motherfuckers in public, I think I'll just stay here in the shadows.
Suffice it to say, my speeches and debates would make the news.

The republicans do have a plan. Tort reform and buying across statelines. As far as I have heard that's about it.

The republicans do have a plan. Tort reform and buying across statelines. As far as I have heard that's about it. Ah yes. Tort Deform: Penalizing the most heinously injured for the negligence of others, with the added bonus of encouraging more negligence. And selling insurance across state lines, so insurers can set up shop in the state with the most lax regulations and shovel that fraudulent shit on the rest of America. Lowest common denominator. The GOP way. BTW, there ARE death panels after all. AKA Teabagger Republicans. I'd like to shoot a Teabagger Republican in the face. orlandoweekly.com/news/death-of-an-orlando-woman-illustrates-perils-of-florida-s-refusal-to-expand-medicaid-1.1665144I lied. I don't want to shoot a Republican Teabagger in the face. I want to shoot 'em all in the face. Every last fucking one of them. Line 'em up. Now I know I should choose a mode of dispatching that causes far more pain and suffering, because reciprocity, but goddammit, these fuckers love them some guns, and if there's one thing I love, it's Karmic Irony. So bang it is.* *Shot teabagger won't actually hear that bang, since the bullet is traveling faster than the speed of sound and will have destroyed the audio sensory mechanisms before said sound would register. Think "final scene of the Sopranos."

"Negotiating with Obama is like playing chess with a pigeon....the pigeon knocks over all the pieces, shits on the board, and then struts around like it won the game". You put that in quotes but you give no attribution, who said that? Fun fact - the origins of that saying (as best as can be determined with such things) came from a user submitted review on Amazon of the book Evolution vs. Creationism: An Introduction. The quote reads as follows "Debating creationists on the topic of evolution is rather like trying to play chess with a pigeon — it knocks the pieces over, craps on the board, and flies back to its flock to claim victory. The pro-creationist reviewers of this book clearly demonstrate this to be true. -Scott D. Weitzenhoffer Read more at www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/pigeonchess.asp#fIZ2yyJDujTXrsem.99
