T Bran is such a gutless pussy. A real man welcomes those kids. See e.g. Deval Patrick of The Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Or the former outstanding Iowa republican governor Robert Ray.

T Bran is such a gutless pussy. A real man welcomes those kids. What is amazing to me is that this situation is almost a real-life version of Jesus' parable of the Good Samaritan. It is shocking that Governor "Pray and Repent" Branstad, who was flexing his Christian muscles last week, now feels the need to ignore the least among us this week.

The Hispanic immigrants started showing up around 1990. I remember it well because quite frankly, it was one of the main reasons my family picked up and moved to the south side of town. They get a bad rep because of how they came in. They would buy a 600 sq ft house and 10 people would be crammed in there living at one time. House by house they started buying up the northeast side of town. Their children were the real troublemakers. My first run in with some of them was just a random event. I was riding my bike from the gas station going down an alley and a Hispanic kid ran out from behind a garage and shoved me off my bike. Two more ran up and started kicking me in the stomach. Luckily a passing car saw it and a couple of people chased them off, of course, they took my bike too. We never found the bike although I did see one of the kids again but I wasn't going to have any part of him. My story wasn't an isolated incident in that part of town. I was reading the comments about the sign vandalism on WHO's website and it was very heated. I think the remaining people in Mtown are getting fed up with the immigration issue. I know a guy who is now the Tama Co prosecutor but he worked for Marshall Co for a while. He told me that there is a lot of gang activity in town, but nobody talks about it because it seems to stay confined to those involved in it. I think there is going to be more conflict in the future, and personally I'm shocked it too nearly 25 years to come to a head. M'town prolly haz world class hi skul soccer team, though. Amirite? When I lived in town most of them dropped out when they became the legal age to do so. Not sure about today.

Pls tell me u r not surprised by the constant and hurtful hypocrisy displayed by the christian right? Not surprised, just disappointed. The parable of the Good Samaritan I was talking about contains what is called "The Great Commandments", which is (supposed to be) the basis of the Christian religion, as Jesus explicitly says all of the law and prophets rely on obeying these two commands. They are, "Love God with all of your heart and strength and soul and mind, and love your neighbor as you love yourself." Jesus explicitly says in this parable that the righteous, those who are truly a neighbor to others, and those who follow his commands are not those who appear righteous, but those who actually show mercy to the least among ours, even if they have no station in society. For fucks sake, Jesus straight up calls out those in power for ignoring those in need because of the need for ritual purity (or using "the law" as an excuse to ignore suffering). They are straight up failing the BASIC POINT of the entire fucking religion! Oh, but we gotta keep dem dar queers from hitchin'

Methinks it's about time for another raid on that shithole Swift plant.

Mtown and Boone were the two towns I avoided in the 80's. Boone has improved, Mtown is still a dump.
