I have not listened to more than 10 minutes at a time of terrestrial radio in many years. - Four commercials for every song played. More commercials between the national news...all 3 minutes of it, at the top of the hour. - Dumb@ss DJs whose mental half life is about 2 years - Bob and Tom are what? mid 60's, and they still spend 3 hours daily talking about boobs, sex and crotch? really? - NPR may very well be the last of the listenable programming available - And I'm not much for WHO's farm report
I've been a serious Sirius subscriber since 2004. Yep, I pay my $75/year to join the club. Long car trips are now excellent regarding radio content. And look at the offerings in most new cars....yup....a courtesy Sirisu/XM subscription. No surprise.
Yeah, I know....the non-music Sirius channels have lots of commercials. But the upshot is, I can choose which channel I want. And the music channels, and there are a ton of them, have zero commercials or idiocy.
Even Howard Stern sold his rights to the satellite world.

In The Dez I listen to KFMG. No commercials, excellent tunes, low-key DJ's.

I listen to the Miller and Deace podcast on a continuous loop, then dance around with my shit tucked like in Silence of the Lambs.

$75 a year? You need to call in to cancel and get the $25 for 5 months deal the next time you are up for renewal.

Usually they have levels that they will give you discounts, the first is usually not that great, but if you tell them all you can really afford is the $25 for 5 months, they'll give you that. And if you do go through and cancel, within a month you'll get an email for 6 months for $25 but that would mean that you'd be without your sat radio for a little bit until you get that deal. For me, that's not worth the wait.

I like NPR. It's pretty decent radio. Sports talk is fuckin gayer than shit. 50 year old men taking sports seriously is pathetic. These FM stations eat a dick too. Especially in the morning. Take that witty banter and shove it up yer ass.

However, even if you think sorts talk radio is pathetic, there seems to be money in it, so is making a lot of money gay? Because there's a baller on a plane right now that doesn't know this....
