Which purse did you leave? The Iowa Football purse?
And who eats in Cedar Rapids? Seriously.

Which purse did you leave? The Iowa Football purse? And who eats in Cedar Rapids? Seriously. Yes the iowa football purse. Picked up and should be home in the next 40 minutes. Waste of a good day. Will probably have to have new bank accounts made since my wallet was in there. We ate In Cedar Rapids because I didn't want to stay in iowa city any longer like I had done the past two weekends. We could have drove a little longer and ate in Waterloo.... Where do you stop on your way back home?

I can't even remember the last time I ate a Maid-Rite. It must be close to 30 years ago. Next time I'm out in Kirk's Country, I must get one. I shall add Maid-Rite to my "must-eat Midwest faves" list, along with Buona Beef, Lou Malnati's, and Mickey's. Had to scratch Brown Bottle pizza off my list a couple years ago, as they changed it and it is teh suxorz. Broke my nostalgic heart. Well Ging enjoys Hamburg Inn so what CR haz to offer probably is just fine.

The only reason Hamburg Inn still exists is the political/history thing. If it hadn't somehow become a can't-miss destination for stumping presidential hopefuls, it'd be lonnnnng gone. The food is just plain awful. And I kid you not, I'm wearing my Hamburg Inn t-shirt as I type this. Purple lettering on classic gray cotton. There's probably a word or phrase for it that I am not thinking of right now but the crap that was all neat and new and good to us as young adults starting out in life no longer seems as good, even though it's probably relatively the same. Most of us have ate at higher quality places as we've gone through life and know what's good bad or okay. I was brokedick poor in college and maybe once/month I might go to Perkins for breakfast. I thought it was the.best.place.in.the.world. Granny's omelet was something like $5.25 (expensive!) and that 8 O'clock coffee they served was the best. That shit is just brown water as far as I am concerned now. Today it's Denny's FTW! Also Hawks were better back then.

yeah, the word is nostalgia. Don't get me wrong - I don't WANT teh Hamburg Inn to go away, no chance! It is truly an IC institution, and long may it thrive. But the food is shit. Always has been. Village Inn is a much, MUCH better option for breffy, and...always has been. Village Skillets FTFW. I met Dallas Clark there, you know. No I didn't know that. I saw Adrian Clayborn at a Perkins once after a game. That was my brush with a "celebrity".

Don't worry, Kurt has enough Shit Sandwiches to feed the entire Hawkeye fanbase. And a delivery service that will make sure it also shows up in your living room.

That's actually not a bad list but shorts shouldn't be on there. Baroncini is amazing. Atlas' salmon is top notch but the rest of the menu is meh.
