For now... Until the new GOP influence jumps into the Senate majority and this becomes a priority. Of course, the GOP hanger ons love the idea of this pipeline because it will create thousands of new jobs (it won't) and it will get us off foreign oil (Canada is foreign, ya dumbasses, they just aren't brown turrists in their eyes). Hopefully they don't get a supermajority in the senate for this legislation so Obama can whip out his 12 inch veto stick.

The keystone pipeline would also carry crude from the booming oil fields of Norf Dakota dumbass. That oil is currently traveling by truck and rail which are much more hazardous than a pipeline.

You do know that in his home state, turtle boy supports the whole sale leveling of mountains to get at the coal beneath them. Digging a trench to lay an oil pipeline would not be a big deal for him.

DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO! if this environmental holocaust waiting to happen went through mitchy mcturtleface's neighborhood, it would never even be considered Chuck, just curious why your Representative supported it. politics.nytimes.com/congress/votes/113/senate/2/280

Everyone could just put in a LNG tank at their house so we wouldn't have all those buried pipes carrying dangerous gas.

And then the transport and supply functions could employ legions of proles, who otter wise would only make tater tots at Sonic or cook meth.

Do you realize that sending all that crude down to Tejas would likely increase the nice cheaper gas prices yall enjoy in the midwest? There is a reason why they are low, and that is because quite alot is refined in the midwest, however if they have the Keystone XL pipeline, it would actually make sense for those oil companies to just refine it in Tejas, or ship it overseas as the cost to ship that refined product out of the midwest is cost prohibitive and the Keystone Xl would make them more money to ship it to China and wherever else as there are huge ports in Tejas to send it elsewhere for more profit.

Propane for all!

I hate to break it to you but propane is a key meth making ingredient. You give a bunch of meth cooks access to propane and you end up with about a hundred thousand Heisenbergs.

Put the crack pipe down. The amount of refining capacity in the midwest is tiny compared to the gulf coast and does not result in lower gas prices local to those refineries.

Also, does the image of a "blocked pipeline" remind anyone else of OK4P's kidney stone story?

It doesn't matter that it was blocked. Don't you dudes listen to NPR? They talked about this a few days ago. Canada has been putting that crude on tankers to Ontario and shipping out to Asia. They've solved their problem with the pipeline. Their pipeline is a train and a boat to China.

Obama is going to Veto this even if it passes the Senate next year. Keystone XL is going to creat a huge 35 jobs to carry Canadian earl, not norf Dakota earl.

Momentary victory for the greenies. Once turtleface is in charge, Keystone will be rammed right up the socialist's oval office so often and so hard he'll have no choice but to sign it. This is probably correct. Want a farm bill? It's gonna have keystone in it. Veto? OBAMA AND DEMOCRATS HATES FARMERS!! Want a veterans bill? Keystone. Veto? OBAMA AND DEMOCRATS HATE VETERANS!!!! Want a bill making it illegal to light aborted fetus on fire and shove it up the rectum of female Alzheimer's patients? Keystone. Veto? OBAMA AND DEMOCRATS HATE FETUSES AND OLD PEOPLE AND ALZHEIMERS!!!! Want a bill to require companies to provide employees stand up desks? Keystone. Veto? OBAMA AND DEMOCRSTS HATE GINGER AND WANT HER TO HAVE BACK PAIN WHILE SHE MAKES ME SAMMICHES AND GIVES ME THE BLO JERBS.
