Sophomore Dual threat qb that threw for 300 yards and ran for 170 vs. South Carolina.
We are so screwed.
It's a no win situation for KF if they win everyone will say big deal Tennessee is horrible (which they are) And if we lose, well you know how that goes.
Season ticket sales next year will be very telling. I don't think it will be good. Not Lick bad but I would guess 7-10K open seats for OOC games and around 5K open seats for BT games.

KF will turn it around. In Kirk we trust! I mean, at least he has accomplished something. No other coach has, could, or will. Ever.

I'll hang up now and listen to your answer. He has succeeding in taking your money for a long damn time. Course, not sure that's saying much looking at you morons.

I think season tix will fall off, but the Johnnie Cum Latelies will get right back on the bandwagon. If you thought the Big Ten sucked this year, wait til next year. We lose relatively little this year (Davis and Scherff are huge, but semi-replaceable), but a lot of our opponents are losing some serious studs and I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see us actually have a decent record next year and a bunch of fucking idiots going to the games if we get to 6-1 or 6-2. Don't get me wrong, we will still be a bad football team, but we might wind up with a decent record, which will only serve the purpose of possibly propelling us to the B1G title game or a good bowl game where our slack fucking jawed fan base can get brought right the fuck back down to Earth. Fuck, I'd seriously rather finish 8-5 with a win over Tennessee than 10-4 or 9-5 with a 59-0 thrashing by OSU and a 71-10 beatdown by TCU or Baylor in a bowl game wrapping up the season.

I fink this is pretty flawed. I mean it ain't gonna go down as the best bowl win in school history but any bowl win is a good win and a good thing, bof for the program and the outgoing seniors. Also there is a big difference between 8-5 and 7-6.

One is a record for ISUck to get so excited about they set attendance records and almost sell out tiny stadiums and the other is a no-hum record at Iowa.

where does a win in the supercorn bowl fit into your scenario? hokk fan makes fun of isu for approaching the iowa game with extra intensity, but let's be honest for a minute, isu is iowa's super bowl just as much as the reverse. we don't have a bigger traditional rival. tavernhokks will say, "oh, wisconsin and minny are bigger rivals because bert and floyd!!" but the truth is, those programs (and their coaches) have pushed curt and teh hokks aside on their way up the ladder and they have set their sights higher. Maybe it's a stretch to say Minny has, but it sure as hell ain't to say wisco has. tavernhokk nation has isu circled on the calendar, and the rest of the games are basically "maybe we can win if..." situations. Beat the clowns and the fanbase is far moar optimistic and forgiving. Lost (again) to the clowns, and out come the pitchforks. Could not care less about the otter 4 losses. But we should never lose to those losers up teh road in Lames. Nevah, evah. This. We should never lose to that Shitbag football team. Hell I will even excuse one or two losses to those fucksticks as a time where the inferior team sometimes wins. But that's it, the fact that KF has lost as many times as he has to one of if not the worst football program in history says a lot. That isn't even including the other loses to shifty teams over the years.

Beat the clowns and the fanbase is far moar optimistic and forgiving. Lost (again) to the clowns, and out come the pitchforks. You are from Illinois so you don't understand tradition. The Iowa-ISU series was dormant for decades. The game was an afterthought when I was a kid. Minnesota was the game. Mah grand dad hated Minnesota so much that he had a joak book wif a big tager hok on it full of Minnesota jokes. Of course, when he died mah stupid fucking inbred cousins who are too god damned dumb to move away from Fort fucking Dodge "cleaned out his stuff" (which is to say took all the good shit and threw away the rest) and wound up tossing it out. Hell, there was a time when Iowa and Minnesota were atop the college football landscape. And even the Illinois series has tons of bad blood, as the series was cancelled for years after Iowa fans attacked the Cryin' Illini team. Iowa's rivals are Minnesota first and Illinois second. ISU is a fucking afterthought, it was basically liek a non-con game against Drake, one where Hayden's only goal was to keep the boys from getting injured. Still, that is no god damned excuse to lose to ISU, but that whole series is shit and a relatively recent phenomenon. Iowa State needs to just fucking fold, though. Seriously. There is one BCS team in Missourah, one in Minnesota, one in Wisconsin and one in Nebraska (and sorta just one in Illinois because Northwestern has nothing in common with the big state schools other than by virtue of a historical accident by which it was allowed to leech off of them for sports). Iowa doesn't have the state population for two fucking programs, because it ain't liek Oklahoma where there is a deep talent pool in the backyard (Chicago area HS football blows goats). Look, pal, I refuse to even acknowledge ISU as a rival. Fuck you for even bringing it up. Fuck you and fuck them. I'm putting you on ignore and I'll just talk about this with folks who were born hokk fans and not guys who just started to be one for whatever reason. Two qualifications to have a relevant opinion are: (a) lifelong hok fan and (b) graduate of Iowa. If you are in category (a) but a Tavernhok then I don't give a flying fuck what you think and if you are in category (b) and just a fucking diploma hok who didn't wear any Iowa gear before the age of 18, then you can eat a giant fucking bag of dicks because we all fucking know that you are a god damned converted Notre Dame fan.
