They sure are lower than they have been for some time.
Currently in Rochester, MN they are $2.25 for the cheap stuff anyway. I wonder how much of that is taxes. Wonder if they'll make it under $2?
How much where you are?

About $2.25 in Crapids, but there has been a change in the ethanol grade that is generally cheapest per gallon. That 10% etoh blend used to be 89 octane and would deliver about 85% of the fuel mileage you could expect from regular gas. The ethanol blend is now 87 octane and in Frau Siouxs Ford Edge she only gets about 70% the mileage she does with regular gas. As such, she rarely uses the cheap stuff. It just does not pay.

I just fueled-up at a Casey's in Wez Dez. Their ethanol blend was $1.99 but I got regular for $2.21 for the reason Siouxdio stated. I've gotten anywhere from 10 to 25% worse mileage with ethanol so that's a false economy. I don't really feel the need to help the farmers out anyway since they are fucking up the water we drink - city of Ames excluded of course.

Oh and thanks for the ongoing global recession which is driving oil demand down. This aint about a global recession. Its about opec skull fucking canada and venezuala by flooding the market to depress prices to the point it prices that filthy fucking canadian and venezualan shit out of the market. They need prices north of $75 a barrel to make any real money. Its a brillian move really. OPEC restricts output for decades driving up prices globally and printing money while forcing other nations to commit billions of dollars to build the infrastructure needed to bring an inferior product to market in an effort to become more energy independant. Then when these investments are finally ready to pay off they open the spicket driving down prices to the point where it makes more sense financially to let the equupment sit idle and rust than it is to operate. LOL at the retards who wanna build that keystone pipeline which if it were in existence today wood be nothing more than an interstate highway system for gophers and about as useful a transcontinental telegraph wire.

Ding ding ding. Winner. Thread killer. Yep. Shale oil is soooo much moar expensive to harvest than regular oil wells. It literally depends on a very high per barrel price of oil. Not only is it lower in quality, but now it costs more to produce than it does to sell. And you can fucking forget about operations expanding. People are losing so much money, they arent about to roll with it and invest billions to put massive infrastructure in BFE North Dakota and Onterio.

(strictly a hetero man-like sorta thing). I did an experiment once with my Goldwing. Used both ethanol and non-E. Three tanks worth. Same route to/from work, same speed, same pump. Non-E got me 15% better MPG, but, only cost at the time 5% or so more. I was actually wasting money using the E-blend. And I'm not so sure the viability of long-term use of ethanol on internal rubber/plastic parts. Not good I'd think. (Results depend on MPG and price variance of course). BTW...taking my brother to a great Steely Dan cover band, Deacon Blues, at the Arcada in St. Charles in Jan. Going to be a pleasure to see/hear the Show Biz Kids live.

Buck nintah nine in Le Dez.
Imagine Dow 17800 and $2 gas if a pasty GOPfuck were POTUS. They'd already be demanding that fuck's likeness on currency, and the Librul Media fawning would be sticky as molasses.

I got the fuel last night so, no. I did stop at the Casey's on Euclid this morning and got a breakfast burrito tho. As far as breakfast sandwiches are concerned, I prefer Kum & Go to Casey's as I find the eggs at Casey's are overcooked.

Unless I'm on the interstate and need to grab a piss and coffee, I never, and I mean EVER...go inside a gas station. The fucking subhuman prole who avoids Walmart hangs out there.
Also, and maybe this is just me, but does everyone in the line at the gas station personally know the clerk besides me? I swear, on the rare occasions I've had to enter a gas station, everyone in line has to have a 90 second conversation with the clerk. I'm stuck fuming there all liek "I just want to give you $2 for my cup of coffee and box of Nerds and GTFO!!!"
