This case is an absolute farce on every conceivable level, and mendacious evil given the lives it could ruin. The fact and manner of SCrOTUS' taking of this piece of shit indicates that darkness is falling and fast upon that institution.
John Roberts better think long and hard about whether he'd like his court to retain even the scant legitimacy it currently possesses. Cuz it'll all be long gone if he gets this one wrong.
This shit is nominally about subsidies. What it's actually about is the legitimacy of the Supreme Court. Those four fucking morons who agreed to hear this frivolous fraud might be legit sociopaths. Fuckin Scalia and Thomas are without question, and probably Alito too.

Thunder, I can see Roberts joining the 4 sane Justices and possibly Kennedy as well. The SCOTUS shouldn't be political, but we all know that they are. They know that the GOP has no clue on how to fix it should it be found bad and removed as it would screw over everyone. The SCOTUS also knows this and what it would do to insurance companies and how it would fuck this country up. Of course, if the GOP was sane (they aren't) they'd use this time to actually work with Dems to come up with a better solution to the ACA, but that won't happen. The Tea Tards want to see our country crash and burn because Jesus and Murica.

Have no fear R2D2, I have no doubt the evil butch princess Valerie Jarrett will remind Roberts of the personal shit they dug up on him or his family that incredibly caused him to switch his deciding vote in the case that held confiscation of Americans' wealth for Obummercare constitutional. I doubt this new case does anything more than further divide libtards and conservatards. Roberts nailed it in the prior decision. The mandate is a tax. It is enforced thru the tax code. In fact, and I'm sure you don't know this, the only enforcement of the mandate penalty is against one's tax refund. The law explicitly denies any other enforcement action. I can assure you that when it comes to the IRS, this kind of limitation is exceedingly rare. It's liek the weakest "mandate" in the history of mankind. |
