its pretty moranic to try and compare poing guards to Aaron white. its even more moranic to compare kenny Arnold. he was on par wif deano and horner, and a clear step behind Ronnie, BJ, and Dre. You also left off Kevin Boyle, Kenny Arnold, Mark Gannon, etc. All guys from Lute's teams I would put ahead of him. I would put him well ahead of Glasper, Thompson and even Jepsen but he has benefited from being on some pretty average Iowa teams. If he is playing on the 79/80 final four team or the BJ/Horton/Gamble/Marble team he isn't starting. He's a very good player, but his stats are a bit inflated from starting since he was a freshmen (similar to Gatens) That said the type of player any coach would love to have on his team, a great role player that was never meant to be the 1st, 2nd or probably even third option on O. He isn't close to top 10 and I would say somewhere in the mid 20's to 30's all-time. Hey asshat I guess you missed the "IS ONE OF THE 10 BEST PLAYERS IN IOWA HISTORY" not 10 best small or power forwards that have no jumper (except the last two games) If we are talking top 10 forwards all time at Iowa I still think he would have trouble cracking the top 10.

Can we clarify please? Are we talking top ten ballers or top 10 statistical achievers? He easily makes 2nd list, but definitely not first.

If you are going to discuss Whites all time rank as a player you have to do so in the context within his position. You have to compare him to other bigs. When talking about Shrrrrrrfffffff you dont say "well you gotta put him behind chuck long and bob sanders".
When I look at what White brings as a forward the only players I can put head and shoulders above him are Nelson, Stokes, Lohaus, and Horton, and probably Settles if you forget about the Injury problems. Of those guys Stokes, Horton and Lohaus were more 4-5 type guys. So if you further compare him against 3-4 type guys you are down to Nelson and then a big group that includes White, Settles, Street (as a junior not a senior), MAYBE Bru...
Does he make an all time top ten roster? Perhaps not, but its awfully tough to leave him off a 15 man squad.

If you want to put him in the 3 spot, he loses to anyone that can shoot. So that puts him at like 6th at the position.

Ok, here it is. The definitive list of top 15 Iowa roster in modern history.
PG: BJ Dre Lester
SG: Roy Marble Bobby Hansen Kenny Arnold Freddie Brown
Forwards: Eddie Horton John Johnson Jess Settles Don Nelson Aaron White
Center: Acie Earl Brad Lohaus Greg Stokes
It was hard to leave Luke Recker off but he played two years at Indiana so fuck him. Chris Street just didn't have the production. He disappears for his entire senior season.

Now the troll goes full swing. White is okay on defense this year, just okay. Most other years he has sucked donkey ass. He has greatly benefited from the fact that many other teams are way shorter than us this year.

Aaron White is not better than Matt fucking Bullard, Greg fucking Brunner or the Plow King. No matter what you do to try to shift the list around, he ain't top 15, pal.

While I admire you sticking to the troll, this is pretty weak. Reggie averaged 15 and 11 in his two seasons at Iowa, and he wasn't even the primary scorer on the team. He was top 10 in rebounding nationally both years, and easily tops in the BoneG. Incidentally, he was a huge part of the last Iowa team to win a NCAA game.

If it makes you feel any better Reggie and Bru are both on my first four out list. Matt Bullard averaged 10 points and 4.5 boards over just 38 games in his Iowa career. He ain't even top 30.

A huge part of Reggie's dominance in the glass was that he didn't play with any other good rebounders. He only had one teammate average more than four boards per game his entire career (glen whorely). Aaron had on average three other guys average 4 or more boards per game each year and still lead his team in boards all four years.

Wait a minute, I've just perused a few of the comments on nyah and am I getting trolled or is there a consensus that Aaron White is one of the 10 best players in Iowa history? Jesus H. Christ, guys, he's a decent player who has been on four pretty shitty teams so he got to start early. This fucking guy would have had a hard time starting back in the '80's and for most of the 90's and you fucking clowns are going to anoint him a top 10 player? Holy balls. Just from mah lifetime, I would say White is behind at least 10 guys (in no particular order): 1. Ronnie Lester 2. BJ 3. Roy 4. Devyn 5. Greg Stokes 6. Eddie Horton 7. Greg Brunner 8. Horner 9. Jess Settles 10. Reggie Evans 11. Ricky Davis 12. 'Dre Woolridge 13. Lohaus 14. Bullard 15. Jepsen That doesn't include old balls, such as Don Nelson. Christ, this guy is down around Monter Glasper, Kenyon Murrary, Ray Thompson or Jeff Moe caliber player. Nice ball player, but his stats are massively juiced up due to how shitty the team has been and the sheer number of reps he has received. Hell, I would even put him below Matt Gatens. Now if we're just talking power forwards, sure, put him in the top 10, but it's liek you gaiz have forgotten that notwithstanding our incredibly long Big Ten regular season title drought, we have historically had some pretty fucking good basketball teams. Ricky Davis! Fletch afro! Good afternoon egadsto, I will provide a few fun facts pertaining to Ricky Davis: After successfully creating his first ever fan club, Ricky D's Renegades, who were a group of high schoolers that cheered with great intensity at every Cav's home game during the 2002–2003 and 2003–04 seasons, Davis organized a contest to distribute 15 season tickets to his most passionate fans after being traded to Boston. The section was called the Get Buckets Brigade, named after his nickname "Get Buckets", which he got for his high scoring rate.
On March 16, 2003, in the closing seconds of a game against Utah, Davis was one rebound short of his first career triple-double. In an unsuccessful effort to record that rebound, Davis deliberately missed a shot at his team's own basket. Afterwards, he was fouled by Utah's DeShawn Stevenson in retaliation for his perceived unsportsmanlike behavior, and was later fined by his own team.
In November 2013, Davis was acquired by the Erie BayHawks of the NBA D-League. On March 18, 2014, he was released by the BayHawks
Regards, Ed
