BTW, nice troll OK4P. I can cut off the top of a piece from a Battleship game too. I'm just surprised he had a quarter laying around. A man of his stature shouldn't use coins. What else is he supposed to throw at proles? Paper currency just doesn't have the disdain behind it when you chuck it in someone's face without making eye contact.

Well R2, I realized at the 18:19 in mark in the first half of the game that Iowa was completely outclassed, so I left at halftime to listen to a faith talk by a home schooled kid transitioning into Community College. Does that help?

It's this precision model kit: Here was the original back before we threw a few dozen SBD Dauntless divebombers at it and parked it almost 3 miles deep in the Pacific.

Oh yeah? Meh, looks liek some shitty lego thing. I don't know why the fuck you would waste time building one out of legos. It costs a fortune and ultimately doesn't look nearly as good as a quality model kit. My Kaga cost $25, plus $12 for about 200 photo etch pieces, plus $14 for the wooden deck and $15 shipping from Tokyo and will look a million times better than some fucking lego shitbox that would cost hundreds or thousands to build. The best Yamato is in Kure Arsenal in Hiroshima.

I read Miracle At Midway some 30 years ago and it is still the best book I've ever read. I seriously doubt I could read a book that thick and detailed today but I am glad I read it once in my life. The Americans benefitted from sheer luck time and time again in the battle.

The Americans benefitted from sheer luck time and time again in the battle. Cracking the code was huge. The Japanese navy was very poorly run, too. It should have been readily apparent to them that the US was waiting for them and they should have high tailed it out of there as soon as they realized the US was ready for the attack. While the top command knew that victory was unlikely, they did a fantastic job of brainwashing the front line forces into thinking they were invincible because the Japanese had defeated the Chinese and Russians. Of course, that philosophy was very disastrous, as it meant troops and equipment basically only got used in one battle.

Fun fact usually ignored by war historians, The Battle of Midway was actually a failed pilot for a Japanese game show.

That model is tiny by comparison to the Yamato model. The Yamato is 1/10 scale and 80 some feet long, while the Iowa is a mere 18 feet.
