Banned from Fark? Lady Mod perhaps...? Accidental most likely. They implemented anti-misogyny rules a few months ago. For whatever reason, I'm unbanned now. Must have been the dreaded "time out".

So shaming as a tool of modding is not in the cards here?

I know I'm in the minoirty, but I liek episode 1. The scene where Maul and Qui-Gon star each other down behind those laser gates, and then the later scene where Obi-Wan does the same thing after he kills Qui-Gon...Sofa king awesome. Almost makes up for Jar Jar as far as I'm concerned.

Of course, if it is a Sunday afternoon and it is on TV, I'll prolly watch parts of it. Please rate the Holiday Special. In other news, Ma is making me clean up my work room. As part of that process, I had to move a bookshelf. I tossed my entire Star Wars book collection save for two Zahn books that I haven't read yet. The revised canon shit has me reconsidering whether I will even go see the new movie. I might just wait for it to be released for home distribution.

Keep in mind though, Jedi came out when I was 1 year old, so Phantom Menace was liek the first Star Wars movie that I got to experience in its full glory. Some of the things that otter people hated, such as the little kid, the midichlorians, or the senate debates didn't bother me, bince I was immersed in the world enough to buy in. Granted, some parts were misses, such as some pretty inconsistent dialog and acting throughout, and the greedy Jew and sneaky Jap stereotypes inexplicably dotted throughout, but all in all, I am still under the spell of the hype and anticipation of that moment in 1999.
