Thank goodness the good people of Texas took a stand and called it in. You can never be too careful... On Monday, teachers at the Irving Independent School District in Irving, Texas, had police arrest a 14-year-old student named Ahmed Mohamed for bringing to school a simple electronic clock he had built as an engineering project. Police escorted Mohamed out of school in handcuffs — photos of the arrest show him wearing a NASA T-shirt — and accused him of trying to build a bomb.

You are kidding yourself if you think this is a Texas problem. I also think that the Muslim angle is being played up far too much by the media. If a brainy white kid in Cedar Rapids took a bundle of wires with a time display in a box to school and showed it to his English teacher, the cops would have been called just the same. Schools everywhere are totally freaked out about possible weapons in school and have zero tolerance policies in place.

I believe in the article it said he showed it to his science teacher (nice try with English) and he was impressed. Why did they not just speak to the appropriate teacher?

Also, Texas is a problem, i.e. Bush I, Bush II, Perry, Ted Cruz, and so on.

While I agree that a white kid could freak out a dipshit teacher with a bundle of wires and a clock, no way is a kid getting a free ride downtown in steel bracelets if his name is Billy instead of Ahmed.

Remember the Alamo? A suspicion of dark-skinned foreigners is deeply ingrained into the Texass psyche. Fool them once, shame on you...fool them ...two...they won't get fooled again..no, no, no.

He showed it to a science teacher who said cool, don't show it to anyone else. Then he showed it to an English teacher who called in seal team six to take this rag head down.

Is engineering in the science curriculum in Texas? I thought they focused moar on Old Testament and New Testament science. MDR2D2? Any insights?

This is a bigger publicity stunt than that guy who claimed his kid got carried away in that fucking balloon. Come on guys, this is fucking troll level expert. There was a report that the case had a skull on it or some shit and the kid was possibly going to be charged with some simulated explosive or shit. Long before this zero tolerance shit, I had buddies expelled for a year from school for possessing shit to make 2 liters explode on school grounds and I had another buddy who got expelled for a year for a model gun. Look, kudos to this kid for being able to take a fucking 1984 vintage alarm clock out of its case and mount it in a small briefcase, he's clearly the next Steve fucking Jobs as he was able to repurpose someone else's IP into a slightly different package and get a bunch of attention, but you motherfuckers done got TROLLED.
Christ, you can't even take fucking peanuts to school anymore and this guy rolls in with this fucking thing and then all of the sudden his dad, who just happens to be some fucking activist, lawyers up and wants to proclaim his kid is being treated worse than a black kid trying to enroll in high school in Little Rock in the '50's and you assholes buy it? Fuck me, your troll game is gettin' soft, boyz.

The article I read said that the clock beeped in his backpack, his english teacher wanted to know what it was and freaked out and called the principle. It all went downhill from there.

Remember the Alamo? A suspicion of dark-skinned foreigners is deeply ingrained into the Texass psyche. Fool them once, shame on you...fool them ...two...they won't get fooled again..no, no, no. Mixed among the thousands of immigrants illegally entering the Country along the Southern Border have to be many muslims, some of them possibly islamic terrorists. Can anyone really tell the difference between an hispanic person and a muslim person. There have been articles about islamic training camps in the jungles and mountains of Mexico, Central America and South America..... Splinter cells have been established for years, patiently awaiting the call to action. Hopefully they aren't as coordinated as the 911 terrorists..... Let us not fool ourselves. There are more and more American born ISIS fanatics being born every day acting independently killing Americans, like this satanic asshole..... Why is he smiling: He murdered two Americans, decapitated them and cut off their feet..... Lets bring hundreds of thousands of Syrian refugees into the USA. Smart move. I sympathize with the majority of them, but know for a fact that they are infiltrated with terrorists. No easy answer other than to refuse them all. Time to have the rest of the Middle East settle the bloody quagmire surrounding them. Isis has approximatey 30,000 members. The military of the uninvaded Middle East countries is many millions combined..... Let the MotherFuckers decide the issue among themselves. If they want Isis to bring them down with their Atilla the Hun tactics, so be it.....

Times have changed. We made fully functional crossbows in shop class. Also, during my senior year I downloaded and printed off the anarchist cookbook, no one batted an eye. This was also the mid 90's. JFC I have new respect now that I know that you are gay.

Hmmm Irving Tx police department. How many times did they shoot the kid? They tend to have a habit of shooting kids and doing barrel rolls to calm down the darkies.
/for the record, I used to work in Irving. The PD there is full of cunts.
