Maybe The Zuck just watched it The US doesn't need a wealth tax, but all of the West needs an actual estate tax. Like a real one, not "we're gonna soak some 90 year old lady in Nebraska whose husband bought a bunch of ground that wildly appreciated" but rather an actual estate tax that looks through massive trusts and siphons proceeds out of those on death events. The fucking politburos get up there ranting about wealth taxes and estate taxes and shit but the shit they pass has absolutely no bearing on long-standing billionaire families. If I was a conspiracy theorist I would think that was by design.

I met a gal in Breckenridge several years ago whose sole job was to organize retreats at posh resorts where family meetings would be held with financial advisors, attorneys, consultants etc. so these megawealthy families could examine investment opportunities and more importantly "tax strategies" aka avoidance. A brother, business was a boomin. It's a shadow world that 99% of proles have no idea exists, even as it determines their existences and opportunities. They're distracted by that one tranny volleyball player in Keokuk or whatever. I know some of these people in my personal circles. Boy did they do a bang up job of being born to the right parents.

They're distracted by that one tranny volleyball player in Keokuk or whatever. I know some of these people in my personal circles. Boy did they do a bang up job of being born to the right parents. It's not a coincidence that the identity politics propaganda really fired up around the time of Occupy Wall Street and the Tea Party gaining steam. When the overlords saw a right and left attack vehicle forming and reaching the same conclusion they had to release Paul Ryan to derail the right wing populists and crank up the volume to 11 on "intersectionality" into the leftist hive mind to derail the left wing populists. As long as people fight over shit like that they ain't fighting over anything of substance at least as far as our overlords are concerned. I figured eventually they would run out of "marginalized groups" but after watching the past few years I have concluded there will be no bottom to the grievance monster, no statute of limitations on past harm. It's a really powerful device. The ultimate problem, aside from the fact that the monarchs won't concede wealth without a fight, is that the average prole has absolutely no capacity to understand anything that takes more than 8 seconds to convey. So it's really easy to get a rabble rabble crowd fired up over an estate tax that hits the upper middle class. But you cannot convey to an average prole how the Cargill family or Koch family or Mars family is sofaking rich on the back of a nearly entirely tax exempt trust vehicle. The income generating assets still are subject to tax, but absent a divestment tool those mega trusts will own damned near every asset in the world in three or four generations. The US estate tax does nothing about this which is why I vehemently oppose it as it currently stands. There needs to be shit that is highly draconian at a huge amount (maybe even as high as a billion) strictly to deconsolidate that shit. And it needs to hit Europe as well. That shit is even worse than the US. Atlas has already shrugged in industrialized Asia, particularly China. Over there, yes, the Party putatively owns everything, but kids who know they will receive no stake of the kessef from the Party have fucking withdrawn from society. Same shit happened in Japan once their bubble burst. It's happening all over the West as well. There is simply no upside left for many of the kids and we have insulated them largely from failure, so there is no incentive left to work. There will always be a lucky sperm club, but society has to come to terms with what that will mean going forward. I don't think anything will actually change on that front, though.

It's a shadow world that 99% of proles assume/theorize/figure have no idea exists to some extent, even though they're assured by their leaders/pundits/current messiahs that it's just nonsense, and actually "good business" as it determines their existences and opportunities. They're distracted by that one tranny volleyball player in Keokuk or whatever current thing that other side is supporting that they're supposed to be currently angry and worried about.
