Iowa BBall death thread. Cook to Missouri. Moss wont go to class. Kriener a JackRabbit. I'll leave the rest to Duff Kriener wont leave. I think hes gonna be a solid player. I really like hos skill set. If cook leaves its for europe or NBA. He isnt going to go waste a year of eligibility sitting when hes an nba draft pick after next year regardless of where he plays. Ellington will be a graduate transfer to a mid major or transfer to UW Whitewater which is 30 miles from his house and a d3 powerhouse. Wagner is more likely to leave, maybe even to play football. He had multiple P5 offers out of HS incliding UK.Only real disappointment this year is Nunge wasted a year on a shitty team. He really would have benefited from a red shirt to give him a chance to get stronger. The fact he didnt shirt is even more of a head scratcher given the fact we have 37 power forwards on the roster. Also it appears mrs fran is spending most of her husband's salary on bonn bonns. www.hawkcentral.com/story/sports/college/iowa/basketball-men/2018/03/20/ahmad-wagner-leaves-iowa-basketball-team-pursue-football-career/443475002/

Fran's coaching is looking more suspect all the time. Didn't realize the team was loaded with that much NBA talent.

Duff have you filled out papers to test the NBA market yet. We had a forfeit in the mens league last Sunday and I got in a FT shooting contest w the other ref. I made 43 out of 50.

Imagine how hilarious it would be to be a fly on the wall watching Isaiah Moss try and run with actual pro prospects. My dude is losing playing time to Maishe Daily, but thinks the process will be helpful to him going forward.
My God man, they're giving you a free college diploma you don't have to try for. You'll never be a professional basketball player, so just man up, get your general studies degree, and start selling Buicks in Urbandale.

I like Moss. I think his tools are better than Jok.

Moss isnt going anywhere. Hes using the process in place to get a workout in front of NBA scouts and getting a skillz evaluation.
Nobody fucking leaves a D1 program for another D1 program when they are getting run no matter how shitty the teams record.

If he is that desperate for someone to lauegh in his face, he can just lose to Rutgers again.

We got 5 white starters. This is our kind of team boys! But we may soon get slow black 5-star 7-footer who may be able to shoot da trey. Or not. And haz black and old gold hair. So at least we got that going for us. If he doesn’t become a Clown. If he does, didn’t want him anyways, What the fuck?

Here's a pointer for y'all...
No 4 star player out of Iowa will ever be a game breaking recruit:
Gatens: OK Woodbury: OK Gesell: OK Jok: OK Connor: Less than OK Weiskamp: Not holding out hope
Who am I missing?
And if you want to get really sad, look at the 3 stars that come out of Iowa.

And if you want to get really sad, look at the 3 stars that come out of Iowa. Are you just referring to recruits from Iowa who decided to play for Iowa? If so you missed Ricky Davis. And I am not sure what his star rating was. I think even Horner was highly rated as well, but may have been a borderline 4 star but most likely a 3. If you are referring to kids from the state of Iowa that were highly rated and went elsewhere LaFrentz and that guard who also played at Kansas were studs. And smart to not play for Iowa.

I was thinking more during the Fran era And I was specifically discounting Harrison Barnes, because he was obviously good, and not just good for Iowa HS basketball. Who's that other dude who went to Norf Cakalaka?

Who's that other dude who went to Norf Cakalaka? That kid out of Cedar Falls or Cedar Rapids. What the hell was his name? LaFrentz and Collison probably pre-dated the star ranking, but would have probably been 5 stars. The Bohannon kid who went to Wisconsin is probably the best pure 4 star out of Iowa in the past 20 fucking years and we lost him to god damned Wisconsin. Fuck, Creighton is better than Iowa now.
