Fucking knee surgery? At your age? What the hell did you do? Was running sprints to end a 6 mile run last fall and I ran into a low spot in the fucking park and tore some cartilage. It got a little better, but then in April I bought a fucking 12 foot kite for the boy and as I was running to get it in the air, I hit another low spot (same fucking park) and just shredded the cartilage and my meniscus. The meniscus came back for the most part, but the cartilage was beyond repair. Haven't been able to lift legs bince April, but I'm doing much better now and am planning on hitting legs on October 1.

"12 foot kite for the boy" Yah. Sure. How'd that toddler fly that thing?

Your meniscus is cartilage. How aboot excersizing that brane big fella. Here is the exact diagnosis: 1. Delamination of the central trochlea with 6 mm flap. Grade 4 lateral femoral trochlea chondromalacia. 2. Deep chondral fissuring flap component in the lateral patellar facet. 3. Peripheral tear in the posterior horn of the medial meniscus. 4. Popliteus tendinosis. 5. Lateral subluxation of the patella with borderline increased tibial tuberosity trochlear groove distance, correlate with history of patellar tracking disorder. Bullet #1 is why I had to get surgery - that was the cartilage tear I am referring to.

Update. Well, the knee got a little better after surgery. Fast forward to Sunday. Temp high 60's. Took my son over to the neighbors to take batting practice with their 5 year old. 14 year old stepdaughter (get your head out of the gutter) comes out and asks me and her stepdad if we want to practice volleyball. We rig up a line from the fence to the pergola to serve as a net. I don't know what happened, but the knee felt substantially below average on Sunday night. By this morning, the sumnabitch was swollen up to the size of one of those restricted flight softballs they use in the Chicago beer league. Can't bend it at all. Can't put any weight on it. Fuck. My. Life. Going to doctor in an hour. Pray for me.
