That made me chuckle. But seriously, if somebody tried to force my daughter to birth a rape baby, more than that fetus would be exterminated. I would surmise that your daughter would be smart enough to know whether she was pregnant within 6 weeks of being assaulted. Have you ever been pregnant?

My takeaway from this is that he released the opinion in a successful attempt to mitigate public outcry. Also how does killing one of them change the decision of a 6-3 court? Also his evidence for this so called ‘assassination threat’ was a man found near alleged rapist Brett Kavanaugh’s house that was upset with the ruling. I would wager that there was someone near everyone’s house that was upset with that ruling based on how enormously unpopular it was with the American people but whatever.

This has literally nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with abortion laws. These laws were written as doctors began to understand the connection between shit like drinking while pregnant and massive birth defects. IIRC they really got pushed hard in the '80's and '90's when crack babies were all the rage. Do you remember crack babies? Are you in favor of more crack babies? I'd want to see more information on this. Like are we talking about the known town whore who has recently taken an affinity to a new batch of meth or are we talking about a freshman at Harvard home on break who smoked three hits of reefer? Surely even an idealogue such as yourself can understand the difference. I guarandamntee you that the sheriff Etowah County Alabama has seen some shit. Some of these places make Fort Dodge or Marshalltown look like the fancy area of London by comparison. I ain't been to Gadsden, but when you look at their population trajectory it's easy to guess that it is probably a bigger shithole than Fort Dodge, Flint, Akron and Rockford combined.

Bro…she wasn’t fucking pregnant. Yes, I get it. You see, journalistic integrity used to warrant including small details like "well gee, then why the fuck did the sheriff arrest her?" but in the brave new world there is no room for such a story. Instead we must turn it into an abortion rights issue even though it literally has nothing to do with abortion rights. Do you understand how this has literally nothing to do with abortion rights or once the propaganda starts do you lose the ability to do anything short of frothing at the mouth?

Sorry High Pockets but it has everything to do with the new environment involving abortion. Same thing as some of these states saying they will prevent pregnant women from leaving the state.

Here’s a link to a story about this. You can look up more. If you know how to google. www.newsweek.com/woman-jailed-endangering-fetus-wasnt-pregnant-1761547?amp=1Abortion rights and this situation are related. Alabama is using the same fetal personhood principle used for antiabortion laws, to arrest women for “chemical endangerment of a child.” A woman’s right to liberty and self determination should not go away because she’s pregnant. I am fully aware of issues like crack babies and fetal alcohol syndrome. I agree they are tragic. Everything and anything a women eats or drinks (or doesn’t eat or drink) or the air she breathes during pregnancy can affect her fetus in some fashion. As can chronic stress. I’ve even seen a study that suggests that Tylenol taken during pregnancy has been implicated in autism. What about all the plastics we are exposed to? Lots of people, including those that may become pregnant may have drug and alcohol addictions. Let’s not forget smoking. How many of us probably had mothers that smoked during pregnancy? Should we imprison mothers that smoke? And again….back to this case, this women was not pregnant. One of her children told the police she was. They did not confirm even though she told them she was menstruating. So would you say this was false imprisonment case? I don’t give a flying fuck how many loser trash people the sheriff sees every day in bum fuck Alabama. Those addicted poor people still have rights, correct? If people really really cared about protecting children before and after birth, then they’d have programs that were easily accessible for ALL pregnant women to make sure they got the the best food and medical care and treatment for their addictions if they have them. But you think putting them in jail is the answer.

I can’t imagine why….. it’s almost as if people of a conservative bent don’t actually believe in anything or have a coherent set of values. Can you show me precisely where I said I was against individual liberty in this case? I merely pointed out the fact that there is a lot of shit in it that is unreported. I don't even understand the angle the propagandist is taking with the story. But then I see the emotional rise it draws and I see it works. I covered as a temporary guardian ad litem for a short stint during the Germ because I was the only who went to the office and I was still willing to meet with people and the family court system has to have that in place. The article mentions the Alabama version of child protective services being involved and the daughter reporting the mother as pregnant. I would be absolutely floored if there isn't a fucking case file a mile thick on this family. You ever see one of those files by the time they get through CPS and get court appointed counsel brought in? Show me that case file, show me the police report, show me the videos the police have, let me interview this gal and the cops. Then I can give you an opinion if the cops were reasonable here. But one thing I can say definitively is this has absolutely fucking nothing to do with abortion.
