I have a goal of riding through the four towns in the extreme four corners of Iowa on my motorcycle. I have been to three of the four.
SE = Keokuk (the most ambiguous town in Iowa, Mississippi adds to the place, sits on a bluff, quite pretty actually, gateway to Missouri) NE = New Albin (very pretty, north of Lansing, hilly area, gateway to WI and MN) NW = Granite (hit this on the way home from Colorado/Utah, soil was a type of red clay, gateway to the Dakotas) SW = Hamburg...haven't made it there yet.

I'd travel from Chicago to New Albin, then Highway 9 west to Granite, then I-29 south to Hamburg, then highway 2 east to Keokuk, then highways 61/67 north to New Albin. Figure it will take me 4 days.

Wow Seth, I didn't figure I'd ever come across anybody that even knew where Granite is....let alone been there. It was part of my school district growing up....a very small part.
