Yeah, you're definitely right as I now see Goose Island and New Belgium sours staying on shelves much longer than they used to. What I also see is a bunch of breweries making kettle sours(which are generally shit) instead of actually developing a proper barrel or foedor aging operation

Nothing to write home about or splurge on. Still, it's like pickling beer instead of fermenting the desired (hopefully) results into it. Everybody wants it now. I'm really starting to roll my eyes at the cost of some of these little four packs.. wow craft beer is expensive out in bum fuck Egypt.

I've been on my continual quest for the perfect dark... port/stout...
Right now I've settled into a current favorite mixture of: Founders - Dirty Bastard Scotch Ale Millstream - Back Road Imperial Stout
I recently did an in-depth tour of Left Hand Brewing offerings Highly recommend - Wake Up Dead Imperial Stout and Galactic Cowboy Nitro - Imperial Stout.
For special flavors - However the Founders French Toast Bastard was surprisingly tasty. Absolutely stay the fuck away from the Founders Peanut Butter Milk Stout & Deschutes Obsidian Stout. The former tasted like barf and the latter tasted like I took up chewing a nasty Skoal/Copenhagen mixture.

I fuckin love Black Butte Porter from Deschutes, I drank too much of it though and, like normal, got burned out; agreed on their Obsidian though, not too great. I really like Dragon's Milk too... Rover Truck from TG ain't too bad, but I couldn't drink too many of those, just seemed really rich. Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout is fucking good. Founder's Breakfast was good the first time I had it. Too expensive for non-lawyer types.

If you're into a little sour, Jolly Pumpkin's madrugada obscura was goo; aint seen that brand around much now though, I'm sure Otter will chime in as to why and break my fucking ballz.
Not a stout, but Boulevard's Grainstorm Black IPA was also fucking good
Storming Spunk, or whateverthefuck his name was on HN, like Dark Truth Stout from Boulevard, but I thought it was too boozy, i.e, pure kerosene.
