First, I want to thank my good friend bigtimeralph for starting this board! Hey ralph, will there be any ads for low-cost mortgages here? Anyhow, Mrs. Detlef & I are going to Las Vegas this weekend and I need some betting advice. Now I can't bet on iowa, but if I bet on Illinois I am gonna be out some cash. Thus, I am planning on betting on the under on the over/under. Any other thoughts on Saturday's games? P.S. I loathe Jake Christensen and his little league daddy. I wonder if Jon Beutjer attended Jeff's QB school? throwitdeep.integralcorp.com/

I would recommend betting the under. Iowa's new offensive philosophy seems to be, "Spot the other team a 20 point lead by scoring one free throw in the first 10 minutes of the ball game and see what happens"
I think the under is the safe way to go, no doubt.

Illinois just scored 43 points against a 9 win Michigan team.
If the over/under is anywhere above 70, take the under.

Hey detlef - are you still writing "Those were the days" over on the IB? If so, please toss this weeks up over here in advance of the Iowa-Illinois pillow fight.
Me and autolykos are heading over to IC for the game. We would stop for B&G (biscuits & gravy) at the Iowa 80, but I promised barber that I will never eat B&G unless he is present. I never could figure out why he insists that he take my B&G to the bathroom with him immediately before I eat them though.

However, I can tell you about the 1994 game in Champaign when I drove down from Joliet with a few friends in an icestorm (black ice on I-57) to see James Winters of Joliet Central (who I played against in HS and Jr HS) get eaten alive by Deon Thomas and get a T in an Illinois blowout. or the 2004 game I attended when FBW was pwning BAMM until Nick Smith saved the day. or the 1990 game when I was a freshman and Bruce Pearl didn't make the trip.....a Champaign hotel had a sign that read "Bruce Pearl-we have a room for you!" THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!!!
