I gotta post as a Jeff Burton fan. I know he's boring and conservative as a racer but ocasscionally that pays off for him as it did yesterday. I thought the RCR trifecta was cool. I'm not a Harvick fan but I loved the last few laps yesterday. Jeff Burton will fly under the radar somewhat but I expect him to be in the chase. I really enjoy Tony Stewart as well. He seems to be the guy that wakes up groggy, doesn't care about his appearance, and jumps right into his racecar. I enjoy watching him when he is up front. flyhawkjoe, when we went to the Michigan Speedway a few years ago we hooked up with takeabreaktours.com We were doing a baseball vacation with the Cubs, Sox and Indians. We hooked up with them Friday morning of that race weekend. They had taken care of everything. The ex and my son went to the track on Saturday with the pit passes. Sunday we all got on the bus and went to the track on Sunday morning. We did 'tailgate' for a couple of hours and got to know everybody in the area. Plus we were parked by all of the haulers. It's quite a site to see. It might be worth checking out. We had a great time.

I'm with ya on those 3. I like Burton and was glad to see him get the win after Tony spun out. Harvick wasn't on my fav driver list before, and he sure didn't come up any higher yesterday!
No Cup race this weekend, but my boy Landon makes his 2008 Nationwide debut Saturday -- go #5!!!

Burton is a classy guy and Jr. calls him the hardest working driver in the garage. I have nothing but respect for him. I also have a soft spot for Harvick since he took over Earnhardt's ride after he died. I always pull for the RCR drivers to do well because it was Earnhardt's team and Childress is a class act.
Now, Tony Stupid, on the other hand. I love seeing him get screwed over. He has all the talent in the world, but he is a whiny brat. He constantly whines about everything and everybody else, but anything he does is just fine.
Joe, there is no Nationwide race this weekend - only the trucks. The next Nationwide and Cup races are in two weeks in Martinsville.

I was happy to see Jeff get the win. It's nice to see him do well at RCR after what happened to him at Roush.

(although I will be sitting in St. Louis watching the Hawks bring home a National Championship)

A note on Tony Stewart. I am not a fan of him but I do chuckle at the circus like entertainment he provides at times. I'm 100% loyal to Jeff Burton and I'm guessing he was a happy camper seeing Tony in front of him. Anything can happen at that point and usually does which is why I watch. Maybe it was karma. Jeff could have won last year but that's not his style.
I can't remember the race but I think it was late last season on one of the speedways where Tony was in the top five and he pulled out assuming he would get drafting help and nobody went with him. I loved that moment!

I just wanted to add that it is downright SAD that this thread topic is on a SPORTS forum and has the most replies. That is just WRONG. Wow... That is all!

It's the dead season for the Hawks. Come August, I'm sure that changes!

Landon did alright for himself yesterday, finishing 19th after starting 22nd. He stayed out of trouble and was still running at the end. Good for him, and I'm sure he'll go up from there as the season goes on. He'll be back in the car in 3 weeks in Phoenix.
And good for Scott Wimmer winning it. I like seeing the guys who need a break come up with a win, especially when Cup drivers are involved.
Edit: Landon earned $21,000 for that race. Not bad for an 18-yr old!

He did do a nice job - finishing the race and in the top-20 is pretty good the first time out. I was happy to see Wimmer get a win and also to see Keselowski finish in 4th.
