I found this from Wikipedia:
Later career Randolph called play-by-play for baseball's Florida Marlins from 1993-1996 and hosted their TV pregame from 1997-2000. He continues to broadcast golf events for CNBC and The Golf Channel, and in 2007 he returned to calling St. Louis Cardinals games on KSDK television.
I haven't heard him.

I don't recall saying anything about Hawk Harrelson....this is a cubs thread. Earlier there was a Hawk thread, I would have posted there had I been talking about him. I was just saying that Brenly is an arrogant prick. You didn't say anything about Hawk. You took a shot at the announcer employed by the Cubs, I responded by taking a shot at the hack employed by the White Sox. Not that hard to follow is it? You weren't taking a shot at the Sox announcer. If you intended to "take a shot", you aren't very good at it. You simply posed a question totally unreleated to my post. I wish I could hear your little radio show today....you can blow this up as being "accosted" on the message board.

Jay Randolph has been all over the networks for years covering football, baseball, and olympic track and field. Haven't heard much out of him lately. I must be a quarter generation older that you guys because if you are in your 30's and a sports fan at all, you should remember him.

Article says he was big in the 70's and 80's...I was born in 80, and got into sports pretty big around 89 via baseball cards. So I guess I'm a young pup.

You won't make the airwaves. edit: I'm really not worried about measuring up to your standards at anything. I've got more important things to worry about in my life than a sad, pathetic person whose only joy in life is, apparently, trying to make others miserable or criticizing others.

I didn't expect to get any airtime....even you probably learned your lesson the last time you went on air and talked about being "verbally accosted". Your little "bit" fell flat as your 3 listeners gave a collective **sigh**.

ANYWAY, back to the CUBS (and ignoring Captain Douche) - Lilly vs. Sabbathia tonight...

Should be a good one. I'm hoping the offense is back from vacation and Sabathia gets to see a real offense.

3 out of 4 would be really nice. Should be a fun series. Take 4 and Brewers are 5 back, would be a very nice lead for now.

Kind of a wierd way to win it. Hopefully Marmol got his shit straight in that head of his and is back to normal. I could only listen to the game tonight, but it sounded like he was doing well tonight.

A nice win. Glad to see we were able to win a game started by Sabathia. That's a huge mental win for the Cubs as the Brewers won't feel as invincible with him on the mound whenever he pitches against us from here on out.

Big Z vs. Sheets tonight. If we can squeeze this one out, I like our chances of taking at least 3 of 4 from them, with Dempster and Harden to follow on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
Side note: For some reason Jon Miller keeps calling Rich Harden Rich Harren. Not sure why he can't figure it out.

If you guys listened to Jay Randolph call a game, you would recognize his voice right away. He used to Phillies games back in the day as well. He is a classic.

Here's hoping it's to this location lp: Should be a fun series. I'm really looking forward to it. I have a lot of friends from around here that are heading up for it, so I'm sure there'll be plenty of STL fans in attendance.

Zambrano got his ego put in check, that is always nice. Cards had to get a sweep in Chicago to really be in the race for the title. The best they can hope for is a Brewers collapse and the Wild Card.

They suck, but it's bound to happen every once in a while. I don't think the division is out of the question just yet for STL, but the Cubs will have to go on a pretty big slide, and they'll have to get REALLY hot.

Cubs have been struggling badly lately but a 2 game winning streak and now a 5.5 lead pretty much is the cubs almost officially. Keep winning!
