So dogs with yellow ribbons have been marked to be put down? Approach with caution or just stay away

No, I've never heard of that. I can't recall having seen a dog with a yellow ribbon on its collar either. Must not be well known. Too bad, because it's a good idea. I have never heard if it either. It is a good idea as some dogs, like mine, are very nervous around new people. If I am walking him and someone extends their hand out to pet him, he will try to bite them. I do not want a dog like this.

It's not what I wanted either but we made a commitment to him when we got him. When we got him from the shelter he was very wary of people. While certainly better than when we got him, he still exhibits these tendencies. At home he's a good boy but I'm always careful when family or friends come to the house. Slow introductions. Then after that he won't leave you alone as he wants to be petted by the new person. He does well in the kennel for boarding, but if we are with him around other dogs he goes nuts. He's very possessive/protective of me and pretty sure if you tried to hurt me you would get bit. He is completely intimidated by our male cat though.

Ginger good to hear you warn people about the dog. I was over at some friends house and they didn't warn me their little SOB bites when you walk past him. He got me good the first time but Reggie Roby would have been proud of my results when he came back for round 2.

Every dawg in the world is "treatable"? Uh huh. Yup. I saw Cesar "trade" animals with a couple once because the dog just couldn't work out there. That's not fixing shit. Dog had issues, probably casued by all those stupid humans, but still. All dogs aren't wired the same. Y U resort to assuming ppls h8 their dawgs jus cause they're not dawgahawlicks(ppl who go out of their way to tell U about your dog and how much they know about dogs) liek U? Just about everyone likes dogs. A lot of douches buy them(pitbulls and such) for "looks".... Even more douches buy them and neglect to properly train/look after their needs. Still, some dogs are fucking nuts, some trainers turn them away, etc..... All humans are unique and different. You don't think with as many fucking breeds that exist that, maybe, just maybe, some dogs are difficult or down right impossible at times to "bend(train)" to human rules? ?
