Well we knew it would happen sometime.

Bullet-riddled car in Albuquerque? Surprised anyone noticed something was amiss.

SoCal, you seem like a pretty smart guy so perhaps you can riddle me this one. I check a handful of subreddits every few days. Idiots in Cars, Hold My Beer, Public Freakout. Just the shit that tickles my fancy and meets my high standards of humor. Is it just me or has Public Freakout morphed from "Epic fight at Chuck E. Cheese" and "Maskless Karen Bodyslammed in Wal-Mart Parking Lot" to a Hamas Propaganda Outlet? I don't know, I'm just a simple country boy, maybe I should stop noticing things.

There were certainly a few. I only started Reddit a month or so ago, so cannot compare history.

Damn, that's a sad story. About 35 years ago there was a documentary about a guy who died from an ejection seat malfunction in an F-14. Can't recall the name of it, but the guy had a wife, kids, it was pretty sad. The hotdog pilot got caught in some jet warsh and when they went to eject the rear got tossed into the canopy. I suspect this was a similar situation. People don't realize how much thrust those seats have.

I remember about the same time a retired fighter pilot had to eject while on an unapproved mission to rescue a single captured pilot held behind enemy lines. Thankfully he was safely picked up by an Egyptian trawler after dog paddling around the Mediterranean for a bit.

What a heartwarming story. But if my memory serves me correctly, I think that same kid went on to get shot down by the Russians after hot dogging over the Bering Strait. Dead. The military lied about it and claimed it was a malfunction with the plane.

If not for the herculean efforts of the CIA, and specifically agents Emmett Fitz-Hume and Austin Millbarge, global thermal nuclear war would have been reality.

I think you're losing heat on your fast ball, bud. Fitz-Hume's heroics pre-date the joint Soviet-American strike force. Recall that the joint strike force, led by Colonel Chappy Sinclair, stopped some third world shithole from starting WWIII. American bombers were fueled and sitting on the runway. The President had his hand on the god damned red phone for fucks sake. But the joint strike force blew the shit out of those missiles before they could get airborne.
