My last experience to Iowa City, I was sitting in the end zone on the North side of the stadium. It was a normal IOWA ..ISU heated game and I was sitting amongst the Hawkeye faithful. Noting this, ( after all I did graduate from ISU) I cheered only FOR ISU and not against the Hawkeyes. Every time I would stand and clap for something good that ISU did I was booed and cursed at (very colorful language from the Walmart Hawks I will add). Into the end of the 2nd Qt ISU had just recovered a fumble, and as I stood up I was shoved from behind. I let it go, again, I graduated from ISU and new the odds were against me.( NOW I stand 6'4" and 265# at the time so I could take care of myself.) Shortly after the fumble recovery, ISU scored. I again stood and cheered,as I did again I felt a hand begin to shove me...this time I reached back, grabbed the hand only to find that an older man whose hand I had was cussing me for standing and told me to sit the #*&! down. The scene got more out of control when his wife began tugging at his captured arm telling me to let him go, those who sat around me were pulling on my arm to aid him. I had NO intention to harm him but I did let him know that if he did it again, he would be launched into end zone. I sat back down, only to be greeted a short time after, by Iowa Cities best dressed security ( who I might add weren't much younger than the hawkfan I had encountered). They ask that I remove myself from the seat and to leave the stadium... I did as they requested without making any effort to explain.. and as I was leaving, the crowd was cheering the security for taking me out..( it was the only thing they had to cheer about all day). Haven't been back since.
cyclonefanatic.com/forum/showthread.php?t=206623 In case anyone is wondering, there are numerous cities comprising Iowa City.

I see that the clowns have parted ways with their alcoholic freshman point guard. I bet the mayor could have kept this kid on campus.

So far the recruiting is going great for the Prohm Queen. The class of 2015 now consists of a guy who was too stupid to get into SMU, and a guy from Clinton who blew out his knee with a bunch of Valley offers, and Chris Babb's shitty brother. To they lost three to graduation, and three to transfer (at least?)...looks liek they're just going to have to have open tryout at the Ft. Madison State Pen at this point/.

CONSPIRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!She had a room assignment at ISU but then that changed around the time that Fred went to the Bulls. The timing could very well be coincidental but it's interesting nonetheless.oh, my bad. It was pretty public she was going to KU by January I know
Paige was going to KU long before Fred was being offered the Bulls job.
Had you walked into the Gilbert High School last January and looked at the seniors' pictures, you would have seen she was attending Kansas.
Just stop already.......

I love Chrissy so much. Jesus the amount bullshit he writes is like some sort of gift. Team has bought in
To me, the whole “culture change” conversation around the program has seemed a little bit forced. After five wins in two years, fans simply don’t want to hear about it. They want to see results.
The thing about though is that it’s actually legit. Unprompted, Wally Burnahm all but confirmed it for me on Saturday night in this long quote.
“We do not have a superstar,” Burnham explained. “We don’t have an All-American yet — I hope we have one out of there somewhere, but we don’t have that kind of defense right now. We’ve got 18-19 kids that we feel real good about and I’ve been on a lot of good teams that had 18-19 kids that played real good defense, so we know we’re going to get the best they’ve got and then we’ve got to bring the others along. It’s got to be a team thing and that’s what they’re bought into right now. It’s strictly a team defense. They’ve taken a lot of pride in that. If we have a bad practice and when I talk to them, I won’t let them stay on the field, because they don’t deserve to be on it, but when we have good practice like tonight, when we meet at the end of the practice, we all — coaches and players — stay on the field. That’s a pride thing. It’s our field. It’s our territory and they’ve taken pride in those kind of things. Now, is that going to mean wins? I don’t know. But pride and effort and intensity and knowing what you’re doing can win you some football games.”
The final sentence of that Burnham quote essentially sums up my feelings on the upcoming season.
I have no idea how many games Iowa State will win, but I don’t think we will see a team quit on the field like what happened in Lawrence last season.
We shall see.
It’s time to get excited though. A week from today, game week will be upon us. cyclonefanatic.com/football/news/williams-five-positives-to-come-out-of-fall-camp/

Please remind me who the superstar was last year? Who was the All-American candidate who made everything about him, and not the team? However, it is hilarious that Chrissy's rah-rah article basically sums up to "It doesn't look like they're going to quit this year".

I hold a few records in short distance running/hurdles at my middle school, mostly because I was grown as a 7th grader. I also threw two perfect "games"(till the pitch limit) in little league. Played catcher and utility infielder for our varsity team till I blew out my elbow. I played tennis in high school too, because it counted as a gym credit and I was perpetually number 9 on varsity(top 8 traveled)... coach never let me challenge into the top 8 because I missed so much practice for baseball stuff haha. I didn't really like tennis anyway though. That's gold, Jerry! Gold!
