This baffles me as well. She had primary contact with a known Ebola patient and was inside the 21 day quarantine period. WTF

I guess I'd be a shitty administrator cuz I'd have everything on lockdown, protocols would be insanely enforced and the word voluntary wouldn't exist.

Its amazing anyone ever leaves the hospital alive. It's true. I friends wife is pretty high up in a set of Dallas hospitals. Not the one with the Ebola. Here is what she sent me yesterday. "The field i work in is grossly under educated and informed to lead the charge. Thats my assessment. ![:)](http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c317/bguy77/Dance-1.gif) "

Well well well................... heck of a job Tommy. Apparently the nurse on the flight called the CDC several times and got permission to fly because her fever did not meet the threshold of 100.4. Then when it turned out she did have ebola the CDC director tried to throw her under the bus. What a cunt. www.cbsnews.com/news/ebola-nurse-called-cdc-several-times/

Love the article I found today from one of those massive extreme right wing websites some dickhead retweeted. Apparently Ebola is all a part of a massive false flag devised by Obama to put the country under martial law so he can take all the guns and microchip everybody. I don't know what is sadder. The person that came up with that or the people that eat it up...The latter half is much much sadder......

Hey You Can't Fix Fucking Stupid. That's Why This Shit Will be A Problem. To wit, ave you heard the stories coming out of Texas Presbyterian? Apparently, while Thomas Eric Duncan was bleeding out his pores and shitting and puking all over hell and gone, these medical providers were wearing laughably inadequate protection (after three days with NO FUCKING PROTECTIVE GEAR,) treating other fucking patients after attending to the wretching zombie, and piling the fucking discarded ebola-laden protective garments in a pile on the floor of a room where said garments sat for days. I mean you can't make this shit up. It's like the slasher flicks where the dumbass teenagers run into a dark barn full of sharp implements. It cannot be the case that I am exponentially smarter than most people involved in the medical profession. Perhaps my genetic dictatorial impulses simply allow me to more easily cut through counterarguments which I find lacking.

Its amazing anyone ever leaves the hospital alive. Many don't. Somewhere @ 100K Americans per year are killed due to medical error and/or hospital borne infection, and it's been a fairly constant number for quite some time. I'm not talking about adverse outcomes; I'm talking about deaths directly attributable to negligence. Also please try to refrain from frequenting the hospital in July. That's when the newbie residents start. One of these days, some totes-resistant superbug is gonna be hatched in one of our hospitals, prolly introduced pre-mutation by some fucking undocumented cocksucker living in the shadows, and we'll look back on this Ebola shit with soft eyes. ![](http://choconatos.com/home/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Have-A-Nice-Day.jpg)

It cannot be the case that I am exponentially smarter than most people involved in the medical profession. Perhaps my genetic dictatorial impulses simply allow me to more easily cut through counterarguments which I find lacking. Bro, it's like no one who works in medicine or government these days read The Velveteen Rabbit when they were kids. Lemme give y'all the plot synopsis as I remember it. Kid got a rabbit as a gift. Rabbit became real or some shit, kid gets scarlet fucking fever. Doctors place kid in quarantine away from house and throw away ALL of his shit, in preparation for a fucking bonfire to get the scarlet fever out of the fucking house. Rabbit cries or some shit and some fairy turns it into just an ordinary rabbit or some shit and it escapes being burned or some shit. But moral of the nearly 100 year old story that I managed to take away when I read it as a fucking second grader is that if someone has a deadly, highly fucking contagious disease, you fucking get them isolated and do away with all the shit that has been in their fucking vicinity. Fuck. Were people that much smarter in 1922?

I have a buddy who is a doc at a hospital in Rogers Park. He said the number of cases of shit long since eradicated in the US is mind-boggling. He said it's at least 2 cases a week of shit liek malaria, typhoid, and shit I've never even heard of. It's always someone of questionable immigration status who just came or visited home recently and brought it back. And he said out of all of the cases he's heard of, he has yet to hear of a single person treated for one of those exotic diseases who actually has private insurance.
