Can we just agree that strength coaches are the worst people on the planet?

Can we just agree that strength coaches are the worst people on the planet? No way. The worst people on the planet are the assholes who start MLM companies and prey on morons. The second worst people are assholes who swindle the elderly over the phone. The third worst people are the fuckers who drive like 3 mph under the speed limit in the fast lane when they aren't passing anyone. I could go on. Strength coaches have to be assholes, but they aren't even in my top 10.

Strength coaches, and their tight t-shirts, and their 5am rise and grind selfies, and their instance on wearing short sleeves during a game when it's snowing...these are the worst of us.

Neighbor bought his house last August. Listed on Friday for 10% over what he paid. Went under contract on Sunday at full asking price to the first family to view it at the open house. People from Atlanta. We don't have the infrastructure here to deal with too much growth and if people can work remote at a bunch of jobs now and the cities start emptying out, it is gonna make my town really shitty. Is this shit gonna happen in places like the western suburbs of Des Moines for people who want to stay in the Midwest but who don't want to be anywhere near Chicago or Minneapolis?

Serious question bruh. How hot does it get up in that bitch in the summer? This year it has been great. Topped out at 83 yesterday, 84 Saturday. Hottest day bince I've been here was 97. Last summer we had a pretty good stretch of consecutive days over 90, including like a 10 day stretch in the low 90's in May. I'm on the edge of the mountains, 900 feet above sea level. I don't think it is any hotter or more humid than Iowa in summer, but the sustained stretches of heat are unlike Iowa. I'd actually say the days Iowa has a heatwave, it is even worse than here. However, if you drive an hour south of me and lose the sea level, it is bad. In my opinion, Houston is the worst place in the continental US in terms of combo of heat and humidity and the low country in South Carolina that is inland from the ocean and away from the mountains in the northwest part of the state, is like 9/10 as bad as Houston, which is really bad. Iowa literally has the worst god damned weather on Earth. The dog days of summer are just as bad as much of the South and the winter is like 98% as bad as Minnesota.

When in the mountains how often do you hear banjo music or get asked to squeal like a pig? Is it any scarier than Sac County?

My two years in south Ar-Kansas have convinced me that it is home to the worst weather in the US. It has all the gulf humidity that Houston has, but is far enough from the gulf that it does not enjoy the temperature moderating affect of the ocean, so it gets even hotter than Houston. It sucked so much.

The jet stream is the cruelest of bitches in weather patterns and that sumnabitch moving a few hundred miles here and there can make for a downright terrible week or two in that area. I don't know how it is up there, but it was 58 this morning when I came to work. We are having an unseasonably cold summer.

It's only a matter of time before Jordan Creek becomes the sketchy mall. Then all of a sudden all of the box store will pop up and move to Van Meter, Mills Civic will be nothing but cell phone repair and fireworks shops, and Brad Lohaus starts building $550k condos in Winterset.

My god, this may be the most profound thing I've ever read on here. I remember when SouthRidge was the sketchy mall. Merle Hay and Valley West were the nice malls. Hickman Road through Waukee was a two lane highway. That wasn't even 25 years ago. You're right. By the time you and me collect our first Social Security checks, everything you said will be true.

Pro tip: Retire somewhere the weather is good 9 months a year, then spend 3 months a year RVing in MN or WI.
