Has anyone here done online college courses? How many hours? Full time? Part time?
I working a plan to do some and there's a full time option (12hrs) that they don't recommend if you are working full time. These aren't classes that you log in at the same time every day live with other classmates but sounds like more self directed.
Anyway wondering how much time involvement is it really...
SoCal? Seff? Did you do classes like this?

Two days later the same student (nothing you fill out online is really anonymous) and asked for an extention on the online final. She didnt get one. Does that help?

So how many classes or hours are you considering doing at once?
What's the long term gain in fulfilling these 12 hours. Advanced degree? More certification? New job?

Did you do classes like this? I've taken 10 or so online. Fwiw, I got A's in all of my online courses. Mostly math courses, but a few in different areas. I liked the not needing to go to class aspect, as I could schedule when I was going to master the material. IMO, if a math or statistics type course, I recommend doing the practice problems. For those courses, I found myself learning more through practice (95%) vs. the book. Plus it allowed you to understand the peculiarities of how you will need to enter answers via the online portals. As an adult, you will have a much easier time mastering the courses than when you were young.

I've done it myself. It really comes down to how much free time you have to invest into the school and if you want to get good grades, etc. 12 credit hours is doable if you have no little kids and can put in the time needed. If you cannot focus and get the shit done on time during the week you will fuck yourself as it holds you accountable to do all the work for that week/semester. If you wait until the last minute, you'll again fuck yourself.
Compared to my on campus courses, I liked the online as it actually taught me something as it made me read and prepare for everything instead of just focusing on whatever the professor would talk about in their lectures because some are just fucking lazy.

I recently asked admissions if there was anyway in hell my prior courses would count toward any degree and they said absolutely. They gave me some options towards finishing a BS in either liberal studies or Radiation science. Pretty sure I'm going to do the latter...an RT to BS program. I'd have to complete 30 hours with a choice of specialty and I'd choose the specialty I already have advanced certification in. So it seems like it would be easy and as you say, it would be easier than when I was younger in some ways. It would be a big time commitment so that exercise program I've been putting off for the last 20 years would have to go to the back burner for a while.... If I did the "full time" option I could be done in about 3 semesters. Even though I live out of state apparently it's "in state tuition", so that's a plus and they treat me like a simple returning student and I don't have to retake classes. And then when I'm all done, Erik can't call me a tavern hawk no more...

I've been trying to teach myself mandarin but I've really fallen off the rickshaw the last few months...but no ones making me do it...no deadlines.

I did it because I didn't want to have to attend courses at fixed times/days and had more leeway in when I could do everything. Home School kids are weird. They also tend to be short and want to smash things that shouldn't be smashed.

I've been trying to teach myself mandarin but I've really fallen off the rickshaw the last few months...but no ones making me do it...no deadlines. Basically that is the basics for it. You are expected to "participate" which if you ever went into a on site class, there are many that you can avoid ever saying a damn thing the entire semester. Not so in online, you have to participate in order to pass. It was amazing seeing how many people would avoid participating and would try to do it all at the end of the week and didn't understand that it had to be done on 3 different days. There will be "deadlines" that you have to have things done by weekly and also for the semester for the bigger projects. So in those cases you can start the big project early unlike the slackers that wait until late in the semester so you aren't rushed and trying to remember shit early in the term. Why do you want to learn Mandarin? So you can chat with pardners bebe? (Yes, I know chinese, but still, asian)
