Spots of my yard have some warm soil and I'm dealing with a fucking crabgrass infestation. I just laid down a bunch of pre-emergent in the hopes of stopping any further growth but the fella down to the industrial strength yard chemical place was like "bruh, you gotta lay that down February 15 to March 1. Good luck." FFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Once that shit takes hold, you can't fucking get rid of it. God damn it. My life is over.

Are you sure you dont just have a centeped grass lawn? When I lived in the Souf, i thought my entire lawn was crabgrass.

But I have a bunch of splotches of bluegrass that have started to take off as well. Gotta get those killed off by mid to late April so the Bermuda is ready to take off once the soil warms back up all the way. It looked like a fairway on a nice course last summer and I gotta bring it back.

You should’ve stayed in Chitown, you wouldn’t be applying crabgrass preventer for at least another month.

Bermuda is great grass.
As for the crabgrass, you’re gonna have to dig it up or spot treat w roundup. The latter is a dangerous proposition for the surrounding lawn.
For future reference, hire out a good lawn care company. They’ll have the right treatment schedule

For future reference, hire out a good lawn care company. They’ll have the right treatment schedule I've already drizzled the crabgrass with drops of Roundup. I'll give it a week to kill it good and then dig it all out next weekend. Maybe the weekend after if it ain't good and dead. I was careful to only hit the crabgrass, but the Bermuda is all dormant for another month at least so it will be fine even if I had some overspray. And I will say this about vegetation in South Carolina. It is fucking resilient. Actually relentless would be a better term. I ain't paying a lawncare company. I got the schedule. 0-0-7 Feb 15-Mar 1, pH test on April 1 and lime 6 lbs per 1000 feet if necessary (dude said it is necessary almost every year), 24-0-11 on May 1 and July 1, 34-0-0 on June 1, 13-0-3 on August 1, 0-0-7 when football season gets going. Dude told me "don't waste any money on shit that advertises, just buy those numbers."

I thought for a moment that earache was back complaining about his rain garden and sideways garage handles. Or low doorknobs.
Face it, you're turning into a plastic salesman lawyer.

Be sure to let the little one run out and lick the grass afterwards. Im sure there are no cancer risks in this concoction.

You don't want any buggies bothering the young uns. "Honey, it's safe for the kids to play in the backyard. Chemlawn was here!"

The $250 spent on the bottles & sprayer will be good for 3-5 years worth. For $250 I could prolly have some guy with a helicopter spray agent orange on my yard.

LESCO 0-0-7 stopped that crabgrass in its tracks. I hit the existing patches with RoundUp a few weeks ago and they have all died and been extracted. I only had two more small spots of crabgrass pop up after laying down the pre-emergent, so if it is starting to get warm up north, I highly recommend that stuff. Home Depot sells it.
