I gotta get this off my chest...
Who the fuck didn't see Dany breaking bad? Are these people fucking blind? She's been a tyrannical little beotch ever since she got dragons, and she'd been getting progressively worse. Oh hai I'm the Khaleesi bend the knee or I'll fucking torch you. YAY LIBERATOR!!!. Everything in the show makes perfect sense for anyone paying attention and not imposing their own fanboy expectations upon it. Of course Bran was going to rule. He's the only one who didn't crave it and the only one who knew the frailties and follies of the kings before him. As for the constant bitching about "pacing," I recall a few years ago everyone complaining that it was slow as fuck. Also, for those who were hoping that Arya would slay Dany (I kind of did,) she's the one who pretty much sealed the deal for Jon. "I know a killer when I see one." Once Tyrion mentioned Jon's sisters (cousins, actually,) the die was cast. Jon didn't kill Dany to protect the fucking peasants and general population. He killed her to protect Sansa and Arya, the latter of whom would have sacrificed herself and done the deed had Jon failed to do so. Dany dying by being stabbed in the heart by her lover was how it had to end. Drogon's torching of that fucking throne afterwards was a fitting fate for it.
And I love that the last words uttered in the entire series were Tyrion cracking the jackass and honeycomb in a brothel joke. The punchline of which apparently we'll never know. Actually, Tyrion probably won the Game of Thrones; he's clearly in charge of running things while the putative king is off warging dragons and whatnot.

Actually, Tyrion probably won the Game of Thrones; he's clearly in charge of running things while the putative king is off warging dragons and whatnot. I once brought a jackass and a honeycomb into a brothel. The Madame asked, "what can we do for you?" I said, "I need a woman to lay with, for mine has left me." The Madame asked "You poor thing; whatever for? And why do you have a jackass and a honeycomb?" "Well," I answered, "my woman stumbled upon a genie in a bottle, and he granted her 3 wishes. The first was to have the nicest ass in the land, so he gave her this jackass. Her second wish was for a 'house fit for a queen', so he gave her this beehive." The Madame asked, "And what of the third wish?" "For her third wish, my woman asked the genie to make my cock hang down past my knee." "Well, that one's not so bad!" the Madame exclaimed. "'Not so bad!?', I replied, "I used to be 6 feet tall!" - Tyrion "the Imp" Lannister

I'm not sure what's more sad here. Folks trying to petition a company like HBO to redo it. OR... Folks literally going out of their way to announce their lack of involvement with the show/series. I've seen so much stuff on Facebook for a year or so about people being so PROUD they don't watch it. Okay? Cool? Way to spend your time trying to feel like you're not conforming.
Someone asked my dad about the show a while back, and he said "I'm never going to watch that shit." I said "why, do you know what it's about?" He said no. I said "you used to spend at least an hour a day playing Farmville........so I guess I value your opinion against fads and trends."
I get it tho, things get hyped up and unfortunately the only news these days is Trump, celebrity divorce, and GoTs.
I still think this season kinda sucked, and not because Danny got kilt. Just the shit way they transitioned into the end stretch. Too easy of an ending. It was really pretty ghey the way it just slowly ran out fuel and coasted into the station.

I think it funny how triggered GoT people get because people that don’t watch it say as much. Yeah there may be some people saying in a manner that is perhaps making fun of those that do but most of the ones I see are people like me that number one don’t have HBO and really don’t get the hype and are simply just stating that they don’t watch it. AND THAT triggers people to say shit like “why do people that don’t watch GoT have to say anything; can’t they keep their mouth shut? “ Meanwhile in our timelines all were seeing is all the whiny assed GoT watchers complaining about a stupid TV show not ending they way they wanted and presenting detailed analysis of what it should have been and talking about characters I don’t know like my mother in law talking about details of relatives lives I don’t know. But do I complain about it? Nope. Their entitled to say what they want about a TV show just as much as I am. There’s a lot of big series I haven’t been able to watch for one reason or another, Eg. Dexter, breaking bad, but I think my life’s been okay with out it. I actually tried watching breaking bad but maybe made it to the second season and lost interest. Have also tried watching Shameless. Some of this shit may reflect real life shit of what’s going on in the world but lots of times I’m just not in the mood to see a lot of gratuitous violence and sex in the name of entertainment.

The only shows that held my interest through their entire runs were Deadwood and GoT. Never saw a minute of Dexter or Breaking Bad. Only casually watched Sopranos. Deadwood and GoT just seem qualitatively better. The hilarious thing about the GoT whiny “betrayed” fanboys is that the final resolution is 1) logical; 2) foreshadowed throughout the series from the very first episode and 3) resolved consistent with the narrative set forth by the fucking creator of the whole shebang. George R.R. Martin told the show runners how it ends, they wrote it that way, and the jilted fanboys are..pissed? At whom, exactly? Of course Bran was going to be king. Look at how many people died protecting that fucker.

Look at how many people died protecting that fucker. The books won't end that way. They're going to take a much harder dive into "battle for the dawn" type war against the others outcome; hence the titles: The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring. He's been quoted saying they're something like 1,500 pages each... Shit's going to get wayyyy fucking worse than the show, and for much longer before it gets better, if it gets better. He's shared a lot of shit with the showrunners that they ignored outright, so why should we believe they couldn't have cut/pasted the hell out of his shared ending to the point of a complete different course. I don't doubt Bran could be King in the end, but I don't feel like the title he holds "three-eyed crow boy" or whatever is a position of rule, it's more of a selfless custodian of old knowledge/keeper of old ways against the ice slinging bastards north of the wall type job. It was a good show, and some people can't afford HBO so they mad. Trollololololololord of Light

Clever of HBO to "end" the stories of two of the most compelling characters in TV/Cinematic history with them embarking on totally open-ended journeys...
