So, got ourselves a new puppy. Since it be a puppy, we are doing frequent walks to get the dog out and as part of the house training regimen.
When the dog poops we bag it. This is a socially responsible practice in my eyes. Hate when I find stray dog shit in my front yard. I will then throw it into the next available trash can, most likely one of the neighbors, on the walk. I figure its trash, not like the neighbor is going to care and often the can is ready to get picked up so it really makes no difference. Wife says I should carry the little warm treasure back to our own cans as throwing into our neighbors is rude.
So help me prove that it isn't rude my way. Is it socially acceptable to throw your dogs poop into a neighbors trash can at the street on a walk? Yay or nay?

Its fine of 1 of 3 things apply.
1 the neoghbor has a dog and it already has shit in it.
2 you know the neighbor well and like them.
3 you know the neighbor well and dislike them.

My take is that if you permanently keep your trash bin on the curb, it's a public trashcan.

Laughed on this one. We have 2 or 3 yards in the neighborhood were it will not get picked up. Fly the Trump flag, you take your chances.....

We always carry the poop back home. Primarily because we only bring one bag for the 1% of times the dog goes twice.
I'm of the mindset of if it may somehow leak or make a mess someone else has to deal with, don't chance it. But will always use a public can if I have another bag with.

I bring it home or toss it in a communal receptacle at one of our HOA common areas by our pool or tennis court or in one of the designated dog poo containers on the nature trail. Usually, dog poo doesn't smell that bad, but if you bake it in a plastic bin with a black lid in South Carolina summer, there is a chance it will attract flies and become pungent for a few days because the humidity won't let it dry out and become innocuous. I have to assume Florida would have similar issues. Speaking of which, my mom called and it turns out that the heat index in Neck Moines was 8 degrees higher than South Carolina on Saturday and Sunday. They need to change the state motto there. "Winters as bitter cold as Southern Minnesota, Summers as hot and oppressive as North Florida, with 25 nice days mixed in between floods and tornadoes." Fuck that noise.

Driving prostitutes to a hotel is considered human trafficking? That seems like a stretch.
