Who is training these fuckers? It's bad training because the guy can't look at materiality, but it 's also a result of the ungodly large body of wholly insane criminal laws we have in the US. I doubt it is actually against the law to eat on the platform, but it might be. California has all kinds of crazy laws and I wouldn't be surprised if a group of pearl clutchers got together and passed a law like that to keep homeless people from hanging out at the train stations and/or to try to limit littering.

Well, he was eating in public while black or messican or something not MAGA pure. Maybe, but I would want to see evidence of this guy enforcing this in a non-uniform manner before jumping to that conclusion. I don't know if you've ever lived in a liberal utopia, but they have a lot of cops on the payroll and they'll cook up all sorts of bullshit "awareness campaigns" where the cops will try to make as much money as possible with as little effort as possible to boost the budget and shore up the pension fund. So in a situation like this, if there actually is a law on it, the cops will go around trying to write as many tickets for some minor regulatory infraction that they can. I saw them do it with smoking on the train platform near my old place and they routinely did seat belt and cell phone stakeouts around major intersections as well. I think all this big government regulatory nonsense is a fucking joke, but I wouldn't be surprised if that jackoff cop was out there writing food violation tickets all morning. They typically pick people who they think are least likely of being confrontational and they'll usually do shit like that in a fairly well off neighborhood because it's just a stealth tax.

You can pinpoint the exact moment when that pig realizes he's in over his head. You can tell he wants to bother that guy about his sando even less than the guy he's threatening to arrest. At worst the black guy is looking at maybe an hour handcuffed to a chair and then sent on his way. That pig, however, will have hours of paper work, probably some HR training videos to sit through, not to mention his captain chewing his ass off for being such a fat faced dumbshit.

Read a related article a while back that touched on the training... and how the US varies with other countries. So if you go to law school, it is almost always for a specific specialty. It takes you multiple years to achieve that single specialty. These dudes can become a cop in the US, where it is assumed they are the ultimate and instantaneous arbiter on ALL laws... with as little as 6 weeks of training post high-school. In most other countries, it is at least a 2yr degree.

Wow, this Ben Friedman guy needs to eat a bowl of dicks. The cosplaying is the fucking retards who robbed a store, shot someone in the process, hijacked a fucking UPS truck and then thought they could shoot their way out of being arrested like they were in a god damned movie. I guess this asshole would have preferred if the fuzz just let the perps spray rounds until they ran out of ammo and then the surviving cops rushed them with hand to hand combat moves. This is fucking terrible especially with the two non-suspect casualties, but my god, if you are involved in an armed robbery and you take a god damned hostage then start shooting at the cops, the cops are gonna come in hot.

The cops should have backed off and not been shooting. From what I’ve read so far the guys attempted an armed robbery of a jewelry store and shots were fired between the shop keeper and the robbers. Police arrived as they were leaving and chased the robbers in a truck. They then abandoned the truck and took the UPS truck and kidnapped the driver. Yes they were shooting at the police but there was a fucking helicopter following them and they could have tracked where they were going it to mention the fucking GPS on the UPS truck Then maybe they could have gone to a more secluded area to capture them. Yeah, There’s no guarantee that the ups driver wouldn’t have been killed by them later, but they may not have. The civilian in his car that got shot had no chance either. The police were hiding and shooting around civilian cars making them targets. It’s fucking jewelry. Two people were killed because of fucking diamonds. (Not counting the robbers) And that’s bullshit. Yeah these were bad guys but the cops as usual aren’t trained enough to know how to de escalate and back off. I’m sure they have spent the last 24 hours trying to get their stories all straight so it all sounds good and that they had no choice.

We just happen to be a family of jewelers... when some young man comes in to buy an engagement ring, for the most part we know him and his young lady... life in a small town. It is so sad to hear of bad guys like this... and it seems like these stories are becoming so much more frequent. Getting close to retirement... counting the days. Signed, Grumpy old man

If there are two men who have committed armed robbery, attempted murder and kidnapping the cops are just supposed to lay back? Then are the cops to blame if the perps rush a shopping mall and take 100 hostages? Look, toots, guys don't wake up one day and decide "hey, let's go knock off a jewelry store with firearms." These guys probably committed all kinds of crimes before that and because of soft on crime policies that have been adopted in big cities, they had concluded that there were no consequences for their behavior. The level of brainwashing the mass media has given people to fault the police in an unwinnable situation like this is astounding.

So you think it’s okay for the cops to get in a gunfight and shoot over a hundred rounds while hiding behind civilian cars with people in them? I don’t. Luckily there is good video and forensic evidence will be plentiful in this case. Police who fired without a clear line of sight at the perps should be reprimanded hard. 100 rounds doesn't sway me either way because there were so many cops on the scene and those guys are gonna open up - the shooting seems to have occurred over a very short period. Guys who shot through the tuna can of a UPS truck without sight should definitely be punished, but in general, I don't have an issue with what the cops did. Chases are dangerous as fuck, the perps were armed and had already shot at humans and had a hostage. You have to fucking drop those animals post haste.
